Numbers are in the spreadsheet. I feel now much better about the FSL, the AT and the Libre. All 3 great tools.
Based on the numbers last night I did not even expect a decrease let alone a hypo. Thanks to the Libre I realized he is going down fast and started to test with Libre, FSL and AT. I fed almost a full can of 13% between +1 and +3) and he was decreasing rapidly. At +4 I fed a spoonful of FF beef grilled in gravy (14-15% carbs per chewy) and he still went into a hypo. Libre started reading Low which is under 40, FSL was 40 and AT was 70 (hypo is under 67 so I am sure it was heading in that direction). I fed a spoonful of FF beef grilled in gravy and mixed with 1/4 tsp syrup and topped it off with bonito flakes and he ate it all thank god (thank you @tiffmaxee for the tip). This seemed to have worked to raise his BG level. He is going up fast now. I was lucky I was attending a virtual conference and not in calls all day, but had to respond poll questions in each sessions and was very stressful.

5 units is the dose he last had 2 hypos on back in March i believe and even after I decreased he still went into hypo (per Libre - I did not check then) probably because of the depot. At that time I had no idea how to test with ear poke, and the vet was not helpful. that is when i decreased back to a dose of 2.5 which of course was too low. Then I discovered this forum GOD BLESS YOU ALL. So do we decrease to 4.75 per TR since per both Libre and FSL he was at 40? We are getting so busy at work honestly I may need to switch from TR to SGLS but will hold on for as long as I can. He is bouncing now (duh). His last reading was 175 with the Libre about 30 min ago. Could not get another reading because Henry has his belly up sleeping satisfied with full belly in his carrier :)

No symptoms thank goodness just low numbers. FSL is freestyle lite human meter. I used it to check on the Libre since we all know how the Libre gets at low numbers. I thought a hypo is anything under 50 in a human meter regardless of symptoms but sounds like that is not the case. Will decrease tonight to 4.75. Thank you!

Henry loves the carby goodness! Non diabetic cats can test in the 40's if not on insulin. We just don't want any cat on insulin to go that low, because that gives no margin for error. Thankfully you caught that low and brought him up. Good luck with the 4.75 units this time.

Thank you Wendy, it makes sense. I really need him to start working the 4.75 dose and go down. I was so sad last night when I saw those high numbers at +4. So went ahead and prayed to the universe. And this morning I got a green limey :) Thank you universe! Be careful what you wish for.:cat::D

Maybe Henry was showing you the "high before the low" last night. I learned the hard way not increase in frustration at high numbers. Even if I could have increased, I'd hold off one cycle as it can be a sign of a bounce break.

That is excellent advice. This disease is so frustrating. I am being humbled every day and the biggest lesson for me is to learn to have patience. That and take what the vet and the Libre says with a grain of salt or two lol :D
