Yesterday's Condo

I guess I didn't use enough anti-jinxes when I said Cinco was being good and peeing in the box. Late last night I went to check on it, and noticed he was peeing all at one end of the small box, so I decided to turn it around so he had fresher litter at the end he uses. Apparently he had peed up the side, and when I picked it up, the pee sloshed all over my foot and fuzzy slipper! Ewwww! :eek: Then I notice the pee pad under it was damp on the other side, so he had peed over that side, too.

My fuzzy slipper, which isn't supposed to be washable, survived the hand wash cycle and is now drying on "delicate". Mama will not be happy if it is ruined. I need to figure out how to get him back to using the big box. :mad:

He appears to have dipped his toes in the lagoon and found the water not to his liking, so now he's hanging out on the beach with Max. My ITF is acting up, but I'll wait to do anything until Tuesday, at least. I added some fish oil to his food this morning to see if that helps with the itching. If he noticed it, he must have liked it, as he did his usual CPC job on it.

Minka's appy is so-so today. I'll be following her with a plate all day, but I'm starting to think I may need to give her some Cypro.

Sasha's appy is as it has been usually - slow in the morning, but it picks up throughout the day.

Harvey staged another protest this morning and I caved and switched flavors for him. He ate it all and seconds, too. :rolleyes: Just exactly who's running this show, anyway? (don't answer that)

Getting hot out there. Time to close the windows and switch on the A/C. Happy Caturday, everyone!

Thanks for keeping Max company Cinco. Tiffany stared going into her box but not turning around and everything came out the opening. My bathroom was lined in per pads. I feel your pain!
 
Ewww on the fuzzy slipper - I hope it survives the cleaning treatment. I have to just give in and do larger boxes with Neko, she's a big girl with arthritis and she likes to back up to the edge. :rolleyes:

There seem to be a lot of cats manning the BBQ's at the edge of the lagoon today. Who will be first in?
 
@Wendy&Neko, he has a larger box, but I had to bring in the smaller one when he was in the cone cause he couldn't get into the big one. Now he's used to that smaller one and I can't seem to get him back to the big one.
 
Poor Cinco.......he is such a darling. I'm sure he has no idea the issues he is causing with the LB.
Would it be any use getting a large flat metal or plastic tray ....I mean a really big one with sides only an inch or couple of cms high ...to put the LBs in so if he misses, it will go into the tray. Might be a bit cumbersome but might save messes....just a crazy thought.....

Sorry about your slipper. I hope it survived the cleaning. Poor Cinco. I hope you can figure something out. He's being a tease with that 100. Sending more appy vines to Sasha and Minka.

That's boys for you always missing and making a mess of the bathroom :rolleyes: hope the slipper survives.

I wonder what he'd do if you just took the small tray away again? Probably that's the easier one for him to sniff out but if it's not there maybe he will revert - or maybe you'll just end up with a bigger mess...
 
I was wondering if you could make some sort of tunnel or wall lined with puppy pee pads, so if he misses, at least it would be absorbed by the pad and not your fuzzy slippers? Vines for all your babies, appy vines for the girls and Harvey! I know you hate the high temps, I feel for you there, thank goodness for AC. I have AC even in the supposedly mild Pacific Northwest:rolleyes:
 
Awwww...hope your fuzzy slipper survived! It's so hard because you know he's not doing it on purpose, but it sure doesn't make it any easier to deal with, does it?

Cinco!...You and Rusty have spent enough time on shore....time to come in for a swim!...and longer than just a few minutes!

wow, wonderful BG's for Cinco yesterday. Nice and even too.

Bummer on the slipper and the LB issues... lots of appy vines for everyone!
