Yesterday's thread

Zen held fairly steady overnight. He started to get a little low around +8 (nadir), so we gave him a tsp of SS to prop him back up. He was pretty sick of his DM pate by the end of the day... I think he'll be grateful when the depot is drained and we can give him Tiki Cat again for a little variety. :cat:

Trying a drop dose this morning (aaah! exciting!), since he was so flat and required feeding to stay in good shape last night.

Thinking of all of the kitties and parents who are going through it today! Hope your babes are settling into the week a bit. :bighug:

I wouldn't mind if he had different ideas!

Stayed green today, though we started to see some more pronounced food-related bumps in glucose...curious much he starts to bump from food as we stay on drop dose (and hopefully transition to an OTJ trial soon) and how normal that is. He seems to just baseline in the 50's when his belly is empty right now. (The drop below 50 on the graph below was a faulty reading. He pulled away in the middle of a scan, and I confirmed with an ear prick that he was at 67.) No symptoms, not particularly ravenous, just hanging out there. Feeling good about a drop dose tonight, and will still check on him over the course of the evening. Likely will transition him back to having some Tiki Cat tomorrow, depending on how he does tonight. That only seemed to bump him by about 10 points a meal, whereas the DM pate seems to do upwards of 30 right now. Didn't have to give him *any* Savory Selects today! :woot:

He sure looks like he’s about done and if he dies it in record time that’s great. That’s not much of a food bump at all. The pancreas is doing some of the work if he drops 3-4 hours after eating, sometimes 2 hours after.

Dropping about 2 hours after is his typical MO. Will keep close track of feeding times and when he comes down from food bumps tonight. I think I have the data from today, but my brain hurts from all the meetings I had today.:joyful:
