I moved his shot up by an hour and fattened up his dose this morning - neither helped. Frustration setting in again. Can't wait for 7 days at 2.5 units to be over so I can put him back to 2.75 for a few cycles to get his numbers back down.
Unfortunately that's how this dance goes. It's one step forward, one step back. Sometimes you just have to go back and forth with doses. There's a saying around here that it's a marathon, not a sprint.
Don't ever feel like you are not helping him. If you weren't treating his FD, he'd be much worse off. You're doing your best for him.
Thanks. It just gets to me. It's not his fault he has diabetes. I want him to be better already. Seeing numbers in the 300s for 3 days in a row doesn't inspire confidence or hope though.
And he's definitely a dose wobbler. He's done it twice before. If there was a failed reduction for SLGS - I'd be able to increase tomorrow morning and we'd see normal numbers before Monday. Guess it's just a waiting game for now.
