Hi LL beans,

I just wanted to tell you about "Hoover", a small Maine Coon cat (indoor cat) who got lost a month ago. His mamabean was out all the time looking for him, posting his picture and info. (multiple times, with updates when he had been sighted, but he hadn't been sighted in a long time until yesterday). A few weeks ago he was sighted several times on the street some of our friends live on, and one of the women put out a Havaheart trap. She managed to catch my friend's cat!! (but not Hoover). Yesterday he was found, wandering the grounds of a retirement home. He weighed only 5 lbs. and was limping, but the vet said nothing was broken. He stayed overnight at the vet's to be checked out.
This is such good news! This is wild country and anything could have happened to him. Hoover may have used up a few of his 9 lives, but he survived some perfectly awful weather (heavy rains and flooding), heavy vacation traffic, predators, etc..
So here's to Hoover and his bean, who never gave up trying to get him home! drinking24

Oh my... a Maine Coon that dropped weight to 5 pounds? Wow, that is so scary! I don't think either of my coonies weighed that little except when they were a few weeks old.

I am so glad Hoover was found and was checked out ok. I can only imagine the joy his mama-bean feels now. And Hoover must be so happy to be home, safe, and well fed. Poor baby.

Thank you for sharing this story, Ella. Miracles do happen. We were due for some good news in LL, and it looks like you may have started a run of good luck today for some of our kitties.

thanks for sharing that, ella! what a sweet story - and i love your sentiment, linda. hooray for good news!

i posted in punkin's condo, but i'll mention here that i heard from a veterinary dentist who will see punkin next wednesday. i'm hopeful that perhaps this ongoing dental problem is affecting his numbers rather than acro or iaa . . . although i will likely have the results of those tests back before next wednesday.

Check out this cute video of a napping kitten :-D http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vw4KVoEVcr0

We had severe thunderstorms yesterday  Both civies were afraid of the loud thunder and lightning :o Leroy was more afraid than Emma. He hid and was very very skittish. I touched him and he literally jumped 3 feet in the air with huge eyes  He's back to his usual crazy self today @-)
