Good Morning LL!! ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) (LOTS, just cuz....), and Happy Sunday!
LL! It's is I, Elsa, Lil Bit, kitteh barista! Bug and Lola are back on the job...they are back at it, trying to come up with new things for their pizza business. They worked all night long at a kitteh party next door! Catered! with their new nip pizza... nip pizza crust: with nip cheese. and then more nip... and then a nip pepperoni blend. and then more nip cheese.... There is going to be alot of stoned kitties out there. They came home and said I was silly... one can never have enough nip, and nip fumes ... so. well. anyways. onwards! ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) time! For today, I proudly offer Elsa's special 10 hour energy coffee, and triple shot espressos, with beans from Starbucks Pike Place Market, their original blend, AND.... for all MochaMocha fans: a venti quad peppermint white chocolate mocha, with peppermint infused whip, garnished with peppermint candy chips and white chocolate shavings... It was Mannie's favorite! AND a dollop of coffee ice cream .... YUM! The coffee ice cream is for Mannie, he liked that one. duh.

I really have little to talk about today... weird huh!   I have been kind of lost in thought this morning, thinking about all the kitties we have lost in recent months. Karre yesterday, What legend he was, It is hard for me to believe too that Punkin is at the Bridge, and Moonie, and Scrabble, and Remy, and Noni, and Cleo, and of course my Mannie. Forgive me if I have forgotten anyone... I hope that all their beans are doing OK, that they know they did the best they could for their kitties in their last days. One always feels that we should have done more, but reality is we ALL did all we could do. Sometimes I think it was enough that we cared, that we spent as much time with them when things began to fall apart. I know we all did the best we could, I know too that all those furkids know that we did too. I worked the yard yesterday, and bought some plants for the area where Mannie is buried... it needed something special there, for my boy. It's such a shaded area that finding something that will work was tough. I did come home with some assorted astilbe. I hope he likes them. :-D For you kitties at the Bridge, we all miss you so.

The three musketeers continue to do well, Lola is over her kitty cold, and Elsa is much better: hardly any sneezes from her. YAY! The camaraderie here continues. Both Lola and Bug want outside SO BAD! We had the house open yesterday. as our weather was great, but all the screens closed. They were more than perturbed. Lots of sniffs, but no outsies! They have a few more days/weeks of house acclimation before that happens... They just couldn't understand why Elsa got outside privileges and they did not. Soon enough guys, soon enough.... ;-)

Have a great day everyone! There will be more yard work for me, and then I hope a walk to the shore, through the woods. I may go early in the morning, if the weather continues to hold. YaHOO!

And kitties? THINK BLUE! THINK GREEN!

My DSIL posted this photo of Nicholas yesterday - way too cute!

Morning Michelle ~O) ~O) sounds like you had a busy chore day with the planting and gardening. I am sure Mannie will love what you've done for him and looking down as to say thank you Mom. I hope today's weather cooperates for a nice shore walk. We have gorgeous 70's during the day, and I wish our summer would stay those temps, but soon it will get hot, hot!
Elsa, Lil Bit, thanks you so muh for the special Triple Espressos from my favorite Pike's Place and the 10 hour energy coffee. You sure have picked up the Baista art so quickly, Auntie Ann
Nice report on the kitties. Do you think fairly soon you will take Lola and Bug on a leash or see how they do close by?
Cute, cute pic of Nicholas. He is growing up fast and so nice you got to enjoy him from a baby.
Have a great day, Michelle.

It is hard to believe we've lost so many kitties recently. All we can do is the best we can and give them a loving home. I hope everyone can take comfort in the memories they have and knowing they did the best they could for their furbabies.

I'm glad Elsa is doing better. Hopefully Bug and Lola will be patient while waiting for their outside privileges. I know my cats don't have any patience.

That's a cute picture of Nicholas with the chocolate.

Good Morning, guys,

Michelle, I often think of all the kitties who have gone to the Bridge--so many this year, already. We remember them with love and think of the happy times and always hope that we did as much as we could for them and followed their lead when they told us that it was their time to begin their journey. I know that Mannie will love having astilbes in his "garden".

Elsa, that Pikes Market espresso was great this morning. We needed it (severe weather kept us awake last night). Thank you, Kitteh Barista. Don't let those rookies and their pizza experiments get to you. They think nip is grand, but we all know that it is even better when consumed in moderation.

Michelle, have a nice hike today. Really neat pic of Nicholas and CHOCOLATE!

Hugs, scritches,

Ella & Rusty

Maui and I spent a lovely morning on the porch. She napped in her chair while I sat in mine reading. It was cool, breezy and shady. Since, I face the parking lot/driveway it was surprisingly quiet for a Sunday morning.

Buster laid by the screen door and I could tell she wanted outside privileges too. But alas she has to stay in. I haven't tried the harness trick with her and can't trust that she would stay in the chair like Maui does. :YMSIGH: Buster gave up and went to her daily nap spot in the computer room.

Hey Lil Bit,

If you want to send me the rookies, I'll put them through Maui's special bootcamp, that will teach them the what for's and how to's alright!

Signed Maui the Magnificent

Hi Michelle. After reading your post and then seeing the picture of Nicholas I couldn't help but think of how long the memory of Mannie is going to live on. Even though Nicholas and Mannie didn't have a lot of years together I'm sure the time they did have created a bond that Nicholas will remember well into his adulthood and, no doubt, will tell his children about the cat named Mannie that was his friend when he was a child.

Have a great day Michelle and I'm sure Mannie loves the assortment of astilbe.

Good Afternoon everyone! ~O) ~O) ~O) I took off shortly after posting this condo this morning - decided to visit the shore early in the day, Hiked through the woods, and found that the tide was out when I got to the shore. I was able to ecxplore quite a bit then, plus have a very nice shore walk - a few miles north, and then a few miles south. YaHOO! and (!!!) I had the place all to myself. The heron were out in force this morning. I love to watch those guys. They were fishing the break, catching some small fish. IT was a nice time down there. Morning light makes everything see so calm. Quite pretty. I took a ka-zillion photos, and will post them tomorrow. :-D

Hi Ann ~O) ~O) ~O) Oh yes on the busy yard day. It was good n that I got done what I hope hoped I would. I so hope on Mannie. It felt good to tend to his resting place. Soon it will be filled with flowers. :-D Yes on the weather - it was perfect for the shore this morning. I'm glad you have doable weather too - i know how HOT it can get there.... I hope so on Lola and Bug and getting them outdoors. I have a leash, somewhere, just need to find it. Lola really wants to get outside.... I like the eash idea, then I can tell how they will do. I expect Bug will chill on the deck, Lola I'm not too sure about: Miss Curiosity!
Auntie Ann! :-D THANKS YOU! I t so hard, and it gets easier everyday I secretly thinks Mannie guides me when I'm working the espresso machines it seems like I always know just what to do. Thanks you Mannie! ~~ Elsa, Lil BIT, kitteh barista

Hi Carla ~O) ~O) ~O) I know on our losses here - so many! I hope the same too: comfort in memories. THX on Elsa - much better today as the day wears on: no sneezes! I hope too on the patient thing. Bug will be - Lola, probably not. Today she has been running from window to window to the slider and back again... . THX on the pic - I loved it!

Hi Ella ~O) ~O) ~O) THX, and I so agree. We all hope we have done our best. I believe that we have. I so hope on following their lead when it was time. I always wondered if I would know, and I did. THX too on the astilbe. I was able to get some good size plants, and they look good there. I think he will like it. THX on Nicholas pic. Cute huh!
Auntie Ella - I knows!!! I keep telling them that less is more, and better! Oh well, I will keep on trying tot each them. They have such fun, so it is all cool I thinks. OH! SO glad that you liked the brews this morning. oh oh on that weather.... ~~ Elsa, Lil BIT, kitteh barista

Hi Hillary ~O) ~O) ~O) WOW -nice morning! I like that! I can let Elsa out n o problem, Bug I think will behave too. But Lola? OMG! Miss curiosity would be everywhere, and silting still? that word is not in her vocabulary. ;-)
Maui! BOOT CAMP! I likes that. They needs discipline! hmmmmmm.... The plot thickens. I could tell thems it was a vacation.... ~~ Elsa

Hi John ~O) ~O) ~O) I think you are so right on Nichols and Mannie. They had 2.4 years together, from the day he was born. During that time they became best buds. Mannie had an incredible amount of patience, and Nicholas learned early on how to be gentle with him, That combo started off a great best buddy relationship. Everyday that he is here, since Mannie's passing, he talks at least once during the day about Mannie. So I contribute too, so that he can and will remember him. THX on the day, and I so hope on the astilbe. They look good on that spot. :-D

HI Michelle

I like what John said about Nicholas teaching his own kids about Mannie, his furry childhood friend.
Poor little kitties, have to see Elsa outside and can't go out themselves. Well, the older kid, always gets more privileges. :-D
It's so nice to hear how they've integrated. What fun your house must be. :-D

I'm glad you got out for a nice hike today. I didn't want to go out in the wind, even tho it was cool and finally sunny. If I lived near water, nothing would keep me in the house. :-D
There's a stream at the bottom of my property, but that doesn't count.

Cute picture of the E. Fishie!! He looks sooooo focused on that cupcake! Heck, it's making ME want to bake cupcakes tomorrow  ! I've been very pensive lately, too, for the same reason as you...all our sweet GAs...and now, tonight, Alex joins them at the bridge. It never seems to end. You are right...we always feel like we could have done more, or made better decisions, but we all have really done the very best we could, and our sweet angels know that.

Trix is finally taking your advice and thinking blue and green - thanks for the power of suggestion, Michelle  ! Have a great evening!!

Hi Barb :-D I did too!: like what John said. I so hope that will come to be. Heaven knows that I have enough photos and videos of them together that I think Nicholas will have the opportunity to remember. and LOL on the older kid always getting more privileges. Yes, she does. THX too on the integration -still very good, still very happy. I got lucky - very lucky. And THX: I think we do OK. They are happy kitties! Me too on that hike - I was glad I went. I t was such a nice time. i so agree on living near the water - i love having that option. LOL on your stream - well, in my book anything counts! :-D

Hi Amy - THX on the photo - isn't that just too cute? I will laugh - he does love cupcakes, and has his mom make them alot,. He helps with the making as much as he can, so of course he calls them "Nicholas's cupcakes" . --- I know on th GA's... so so sad to see Alex joining them. And I know Caryl did all she could for Alex. This says it so well:
we always feel like we could have done more, or made better decisions, but we all have really done the very best we could, and our sweet angels know that.
YAY on Trixie thinking blue and green! Yahoo!, and well done Trixie.
