6/2 - Cini Mini Caturday Report

Hi Everyone,

This week has been a much better week after Nola's departure from us. I still haven't picked up her bowls or cleaned her nose prints off the patio door glass. :sad: Our regular Vet sent a bouquet of flowers to the house in her memory, and the emergency Vet took an imprint of her paw and sent it to us. On the back was her birth day and departure day and, I didn't realize it till I saw it, but she was born and went away on the same day exactly three years apart.

In other news, Cini Mini is doing really well! His BGs are staying low, below 100, and just when I think maybe ... just maybe, we should try an OTJ trial he throws in a 138 to keep me honest. :lol:

He's also been very active. He now jumps on my bed, runs across at top speed, jumps off and runs under it just to jump right back on all over again! I try to stop him but he'll have none of that! cat(2)_steam

It takes a while for reality to set in and sometimes, I think having the bowls, etc. helps to deal with the grief.

I would do what you can to give Cini's pancreas as much support as you can for as long as you can before a trial. You're still seeing a fair amount of blue at pre-shot. Have you tried giving Cini a snack at +9? It may cause his pancreas to kick in and produce some insulin and lower those pre-shot numbers.

Nice report on Cini Mini. It sounds like he's feeling good. I'm so sorry about Nola. I would leave her things til you're ready. That was so sweet of your Vet with the bouquet of flowers and the Emergency Vet with the imprint paw.

Great report on Cini! That's funny, running back and forth across the bed. Very sweet of the vets to send you flowers and a momento of Nola. Thinking of you.

Thanks for taking a look at Cini's SS Sienne. I'll definitely try the feeding at +9 and see if that helps.
