I don't know how it's possible to spike from 99 to 396 in 2 hours but I guess it is. I was very low on test strips for a couple of days so I was only doing pre shot tests for those days. He was on 1/2 unit then 3/4 and has been at 1 unit for about 1 week before I started the spreadsheet. I will test again in an hour to make sure nothing went wacky with that lest test strip

Wow, that is a remarkable jump. Whitey, come down from that stinky pinky!

I'm hoping that was a bad reading. I am using a ReliOn meter that I've had for just a couple of months but the last couple of days I've been getting lots of error messages with it. Approx half my test strips since yesterday have been errors and I just opened a brand new batch of strips and got an error doing the last test and the 396 was the second strip.

I just retested and it was 542! Must be a bad batch. There were two packs in the box so hopefully pack #2 is good

Just saw you retested.

I have seen cats jump up that fast but Whitey doesn't usually get into black numbers.

You should probably have a backup meter, too.

retested again with one strip each from the two packs I have and got 343 and 342 so I'm guessing that is accurate and the and the last one was a bad strip. I will get a back up meter but I just bought this one because I didn't trust the AlphaTrak I was using. At least the ReliOn is cheap enough to get two. The jump from 90s to 340s at least looks more in line with his cycles

Good that you opened a different bottle and also will get a backup meter.

When we were new and I was exhausted after w night of testing, I accidentally put the meter in the microwave instead of the rice sock. It was my only meter and I needed it to do her PS test so I could shoot. I was standing with my nose against the pharmacy doors when they opened at 7  some lessons you don't have to learn twice
