I hear ya on "groggy" this morning....Everyone is movingly slowly here as well.

How's Trixie doing w/the change in food.....less Wellness and more BG?

She's holding steady on the 50/50 mix of Wellness/BG, and her numbers still crept up a bit, so we increased her from F.5U to .75U last night. I haven't tried to shift her so the food is heavier on the BG yet, but I have a feeling it won't make a difference unless I can completely eliminate the Welless. At least at this point, that doesn't seem to be an option - at least not one that will stick for the long term.

might take a while to see the real effects from the new dose. she's looking pretty good this morning. +4 at 77 - that's great! did ya get to go back to bed? the endless getting up early is the hardest part of the FD for me.

I did go back to bed after her shot; hubby got up at +2 and stayed up, so I actually slept till after +4. What a treat! During the week, as tired a I am, I actually take advantage of getting up so early and get a good, solid workout in after I do her shot...kinda helps get my blood moving. Sundays are usually my day to "catch up" on sleep...very relative term, of course.

Yes, the broken sleep aspect of FD is taking a bit of a toll on me. And, yesterday, as if getting up t 5:15 isn't bad enough, we had to get up at 4:00 to give our senior, Mario, his BP meds! He needed to take it at least 6 hours before his BP check, and the latest appointment I could get for that was 10:20. Then, I had to get back up at 5:15 to start the usual routine. Oh, the things we do for our kitties...

PS - you wanna see a "normal" house, swing by MY place :lol: !!!

I hear ya on the sleep issue, i'm still exhausted from work last week, those 12 hour work days take a toll on me. It's BTB everyday for me when i'm home!!

Trix is looking mighty fine today, she likes the new dose. How many kitters do you and the DH have?

Yeah, I think my house is beyond "normal".

We have 6 kitties: Mario (16 years), Noah, Petey, and Zen (littermates - 8 years), Frankie (8 years), and Trixie (9 years). They keep us very, very busy - but they're worth it!

Beautiful numbers for Trixie today. Good luck on the continued food trials. She and Gracie are at the same dose now!! Only Trixie likes it and Gracie is ____________ :lol: :lol: :lol:

Hope you get some rest today. You sound exhausted. I also have to laugh on "normal".

Trixie's lowest pre-shot in quite some time. She did have a +8 snack again; that really seems to work well with bringing down her pre-shot numbers. Still no sign of her feeder shipping, though, although according to Amazon it will alledgedly arrive bewteen 6/20 and 6/24. We shall see...

Anyone care to wager how she decides to play this little 107 out :lol: :lol: ? We'll be getting a +1, to see what lies ahead...

Trixie has some nice numbers today. I guess it's worth sleep deprivation!

Did you order your feeder through Amazon with one of their vendors? I did that recently and the vendor (KV Supply) sent the feeder out right away and sent me an e mail that it had shipped. But several days later I received an e mail from Amazon saying that they had no confirmation from the vendor that the item had shipped and were not going to charge my credit card until they heard. In the meantime the feeder arrived the next day (just when the vendor said it would arrive) and about a week later I got another e mail from Amazon saying that my order had shipped!!

Thanks for your comment on anesthesia in Rusty's condo today. Very helpful to have the consensus I got from everyone who commented.

I ordered the feeder through Amazon, and apparently it also shipsfrom/is sold by Amazon. I had ordered a DVD at the same time, and that shipped and arrived, yet I never received a ship notifcation on that, either. The only difference is, when I look at my order history, it does say the DVD shipped, but the feeder hasn't. The feeder also went up $9.00 since I ordered it last week!!

I don't blame you for not wanting to use anesthesia for a blood draw. I had never heard of a vet doing that before. I could see them doing it if they know for a fact that cat is going to be a problem, but doing "just because" seems a bit crazy to me.

Awww I just love senior cats, they remind me of an old cat we used to have when I was younger, so sweet I'd have a million cats and dogs if I had a house and a job in the city. I've got a bleeding heart when it comes to animals. :-D

Looks like Trix is going to have a nice night. Maybe you'll get some well deserved rest tonight.
 
She's keeping it nice-n-even tonight. I'm so tired that I am very much appreciative of that!

The seniors are very sweet. Mario is pretty irresistible, IMO. I also have a soft-spot for the hard luck cases, like Frankie. No one wanted to adopt her because her eyes were scarred from an infection. That is what really drew me to her, and let me tell you this little kitty just loves life. And I've already decided that the next kitty I adopt (which won't be for a while!) will most likely be diabetic.
 
How happy you must be with Trix's numbers. They're very good. I've got 6 kitties too. 3 sets of litter mates. So I know what you mean by "normal" on any given day :lol: Have a good night
 
Hey Bev- nice to know we're not alone in our extreme craziness! I love people's reactions when I say I have 6. To me, it is perfecty normal - a lot of work, but normal!
 
Trixie is looking like a million bucks today!!!

I admire anyone with more than one animal!!!! So much responsibility!!
