Taffy likes all of the colors! Well, not red and blacks, and not too many pinks, but the rest he likes equally.

We have seen good runs of greens on several days this past week, but then he bounces. Not too high, but how can I stop this??

I have gone back to using the timed feeder, both overnight and on days that I am away. I was hoping that would help. It has helped with him not waking me up as often, but not stopped the bounce after a good green day.

Aw, well, we do our best. Off to butcher a chicken!

Surprise for me! +3 = 82

Gave LC raw with a little HC gravy on top, but it seems there may be a pj party in store for me. We'll see...

No one around tonight, it seems. We're fine, so no worries! And I don't post every day any more, or at least not for the last while.

Anyhow, Taffy down more at +4, so more snack, FF pate with gravy. Now he is coming up, or seems. I'm going to get some sleep, left out another snack, set alarm to try to get a check in couple hours.

Looks like he's doing really well! I'm new so can't answer the bounce prevention question but hoping someone chimes in. Vets never tell us about the long sleepless nights do they? Lol

I'm glad Taffy came back up for you. I hope he keeps surfing safely. I've never been able to keep Furball from bouncing until she finally hit a good dose and then flattened out. Some cats bounce all the way to OTJ. Some people have luck feeding the curve to keep their cats from bouncing, but that never worked for Furball.

Was looking at Taffy's SS - I noticed you are not shooting consistently @ 12 hours - can I ask why?

Also, do you have a set feeding schedule?
The 10-30 minute fluctuations are sometimes just me being inconsistent and then the occasional big change are schedule changes (my daily schedule is not the same each day) and then I am always trying to "move him back up" by 15 min increments, or move him later in anticipation of something coming up. But then I have another day pop up where I need to change times. I have skipped instead in the past when there is a big change in my schedule, but I hate to do it. For example, now I will be out at a training tomorrow night until 10pm or later, so his shot will be somewhat late. So I delayed it a little tonight and will again in the AM. Then, Sat morn, I need to leave by 8am, so I will try to edge him back to an earlier time by then...sigh.

His feeding schedule is also not set exactly. Lately, I have been giving a small snack every 3-5 hours, depending on his numbers. I generally know his eat/sleep patterns and try to work with those, but I set the timed feeder at regular intervals when I am gone and overnight. More frequent if his numbers are lower.

I feel like his numbers are flattening a little bit, the bounces are not as dramatic, and when he goes in to the 300s, I generally know why. So maybe he will continue to slow the roller coaster. He feels pretty good, most of the time, except for some occasional mild constipation, it seems. I am happy with his attitude/comfort level. I just wish his numbers would level out so I can have some predictability. Maybe it will never happen. :arghh:
