Good Morning, Everyone,

Rusty continues to come down from his fur shot and this morning's AMPS is at the high end of his "normal" AMPS range. It's a beautiful day outside and we are promised good weather for a few days!!! Rusty had a good morning routine (minus the "lung treat") and is napping in his basket.

Today is a catch-up day. We are assembling a bunch of books to take to the public library for their August book sale. Got to start "de-accessioning". And today is the day I will finally get around to cutting back some overgrown houseplants, including "Pit", our 41-year-old avocado. He hasn't been trimmed in over a year and is bumping the ceiling (Pit has been cut down to a stump every time we have moved and always comes back bigger and stronger than ever. His trunk is 6 inches in diameter!!).

Wishing you all a good day,

Sending vines to all in need,

Ella & Rusty

Enjoy your catch-up day today. Good luck with Pit's pruning. How cool tat you have had that plant for 41 years. AWESOME! And it's that tall??? up tot he ceiling? wow, very cool. Well enjoy your houseplant tending today.

Hear you on the de-accessioning too. I so need to do that....

Have a great day today. I hope all goes well.

Wrong way Rusty. I hope he turns things around soon. Wow on Pit being 6 inches in diameter.

Hey Rusty - looks like you backed a winner today in the World's Cup (Uruguay colors are blue and yellow). Time to turn it around and support the green and blue teams.

I've got to start making space by going through some of my books too. But every time we go to the library sale on the island where my parent's live, it's a net gain on books.

Hi Ella,
I hope Rusty slides down soon!

It's really impressive you've had Pit for 41 years and he's growing to be a tree!!!

Hi again,

Rusty had a day of creeping up. And he has had
hardly any appetite for his food-- just for his treats. I think it's one of those inexplicable days. He really was into it hunting the chipmunks this morning, but we had to go out, so he had to come in, and he may be holding out for a tasty little rodent. Anyway, no fur shots today.

The weather is simply super: cool, sunny, breezy--a perfect summer day in the Adirondacks. We took 2 boxes of books to the public library. I pruned the houseplants. Pit looks happy tonight. Odds and ends all day and I don't know where it went.

Off now to visit condos (while watching the Mets game--multi- tasking!

at least Rusty is being a consistent 200 something, huh....
Sounds like a good day to get caught up and glad that all houseplants, including Pit are happy

Almost at the water's edge this evening! Rusty had a good evening and enjoyed his dinner on the couch, watching the Mets win.

see you all tomorrow.

Nice slide! The Lagoon Miester and Miesterin passed each other on the shifr change! ;-)

How cool that you have had Pit that long. I really need to prune ours back too, but it's in the ground and I always have to wait for the fruit to ripen. Maybe I'll get the chainsaw going while John is gone next week. He thinks I get carried away.
