Hi Everyone,
We had cataclysmic electrical storms last night with tons of rain. Flash flooding all over the place. But we were fine and didn't even lose power. Rusty isn't bothered at all by thunderstorms. He actually wanted to go outside. And, during the storms Edward went outside to look around and didn't realize that Rusty went out with him. Edward came back in and closed the door. Later we looked all over for Rusty and he wasn't in any of his usual places. I opened the back door and there he was, sitting on the door stoop, pressed against the door, quite damp from the blowing rain! What a :cat:!!

I'm still having fun (?) trying to measure Rusty's tiny dose. Sometimes it seems to be right--sometimes not. His appetite has been so-so, but he's managing to finish most of his food over a period of time (Rusty is a grazer). I tried the new Wellness chicken again and he wasn't thrilled. But he is eating Newman's Own Chicken and Chicken Liver pretty well. On Friday he goes in for his annual senior panel and a B-12 shot. His vet will be surprised at how low his dose is.

Good thing the leader of today's paddle postponed until Thursday!

Wishing you all a good evening,

Glad the paddle leader cancelled the trip!! Sounds like it wouldn't have been very safe to be out in that storm!! I guess even the weatherman can be right once in awhile

So happy to hear Rusty didn't stray too far away and was waiting at the door! That could have been a lot more scary!!

Yo Rusty, dude....make your escape on Friday morning, early....Your mama is taking you to that vetty place for a S H O T!! Run like the wind!!

Just a funny note...I first read the above excerpt as "tiny nose" (why? I don't know, as dose is what we talk about all of the time here), but I read "nose" and I am sitting here thinking, "now, why was she measuring his nose???" It really took me a minute to reread it correctly!

Nice numbers!

Good job patrolling the lagoon yesterday Rusty! I know Boomer hasn't been much help to you lately
We also had lots of lightning right around bedtime of course

Hi Ella, hope Rusty has a good day today and you all have a break in the weather. Had a good chuckle about Rusty's interest in being outdoors on a rainy night. Brought back memories of my mother pulling toddler-me in by the collar when I was entranced by the coming storm and darkening skies (hurricane Carol ca 1954) and tried to go outside!
And though Rusty doesn't have to contend with kitten mischief, I thought of Simon's cat and his rain storm adventure, too. :cat:.

I'm like Rusty...I like a good storm - as long as it's a SAFE good storm! Appy vines...I know all about the grazing, since Trix was one the last few years.

I hope you've got better weather today!!
