He is doing pretty well. His amps and pmps are usually higher than I would like but he is going down into the low blue and sometimes green for his nadir and is feeling good.
I have been trying to get a clip of him transporting his pepper as requested but with no success so far but did get a clip of him with his pepper if that counts LOL
He loves him some pepper, what a guy!
The blue thing is a fitted sheet we put over the a/c vent, it blows up like a huge tent and they love playing in it.
Click on the pic for the video.

Does he EAT that pepper or just play with it? What funny guy!

Oh, I love the vent tent videos. You've shown them in the past and they just crack me up! So goofy!

Glad Pippin is doing well. That picture is adorable. Also like the a/c game you rigged for them. Remember Pippin, stay above 100 for bean, Not too low and not too high k?

hi Deb and Pippin! I'm glad that you guys opened a condo today, it's always nice to see how the pipster is doing. Sounds like he is doing really good. Love the pepper video. Those ferrets are really cute and funny guys with all kinds of personality!

He likes to chew the stem and in transporting them he sometimes rips off a hunk and spits it out. I think he likes the feeling of his teeth going into the crispness more than eating although the scent of peppers to him is like cat nip to a cat, he actively sniffs them out in the garden, walks the plant down, catches, kills and makes off with his prize.....not good for the plant but my goodness he is fun to watch.

I have two fuzzies as well in addition to my three kitties. They really are bundles of fun, aren't they! Insulinoma seems to be more common than diabetes though! Both of mine are adrenal and one of them has cardiomyopathy. Hopefully diabetes or insulinoma don't come into the mix!

Anyway, nice to see other ferret people on here :)

Diabetes is quite rare in ferrets so I hope yours are spared that.
I have 6 ferrets, 4 of which are adrenal also, one had surgery and it returned. They are all on lupron depot monthly and melatonin implants every 3 months. I am hoping to be able to change them to deslorelin implants soon though, they work better and last longer.
Its aways nice to meet a fellow ferrent (ferret parent)!

My first adrenal one had the surgery, and it came back. Second one can't have surgery because of his cardiomyopathy. I was lucky though and able to get them both on deslorelin (were on lupron monthly first as well). Lucky because it's not yet approved in Canada and I got in through some Health Canada trial program. Anyway, they got the implant last October and seem to be doing fine. The yellowish fur remains, but the other symptons are gone (both are sables). Vet's office also just called me back to let me know that the implant seems to last two years, not just one, so that is even better news! So yes, given the cost vs duration factor compared to Lupron, I'd definitely recommend switching!

So nice to see a Pippin condo. Love the video! He looks so happy with his pepper

So happy to see a post for Pippin, my favorite ferret! He's absolutely adorable! I had a civvie, Isobel (GA), that LOVED green peppers. She would beg for them anytime I was chopping one up. She also loved raw potatoes...very odd. Hope Pippin continues to do well!

Pippin likes taters too! He doesn't eat them he just carries them around and stashes them behind the sofa LOL

I hate to think what all you will find stashed away if you ever move out of that house. Of all the things you've found, how much do you think might remain hidden?

I learned the hard way!
We removed most of the carpet and put down pergo for that reason, I do pull out the bed and what furniture they can get under or behind regularly and clean out, dont want to start either growing veggies or attracting bugs thats for sure! I dont think a rodent would stand a chance with all these guys on patrol so I dont have to worry about that at least.
