Yesterday's Condo

Morning all Not the way we wanted to start the day after starting the dosecrease yesterday :sad: Mali started with great promise yesterday venturing into yellow at +4 then rising numbers from then on. Wow, such a ride for you Mali girl grumpy_cat

I'm pretty sure I'm missing the nadir in the PM cycle. Seems like the onset was established yesterday when we went from AMBG 530 to +4 @ 297. I am determined to get more readings in the mid PM cycle tonight to find some sign of nadir.

After test, shot and meds this am, Mali did not dive into her breffis like normal and is preferring to spend more time on the catio...don't know what that's about, but will observe.

Little Mali could be bouncing from her yellow yesterday. If this is a bounce, her Mr. Pancreas and Mr. Liver aren't used to her being down in the 200s. They see the numbers as too low for her as they are used to her being HI. They react by releasing a stored form of glucose into her system and it "bounces" her numbers up. It will clear and she will come back down. Right Mali??? Come on down from there please and thank you.

They see the numbers as too low for her as they are used to her being HI. They react by releasing a stored form of glucose into her system and it "bounces" her numbers up. I hope so, Mary. Just got a 383 at +3.5. She is really dragging today. She still hadn't touched her breffis after her shot this am so I added a little water, stirred and sprinkled a little Fortiflora on it and she ate some but not like she normally does. Patience, patience.......

She's really not dragging so very much. dancing_cat dancing_cat dancing_cat . She just got an increase so her depot has to readjust, and she just went lower than she's used to so she could be recovering from those numbers. If this is just a bounce, those can take several cycles to clear and Mali's already heading down. She's looking good!!!

Hi Mali..I'll be glad to show you how i learned., we can practice!! It's fun. I fell off a BUNCH and i still fall off but it's way fun, but let's get going. here's the deal. First you gotta get a board. Here's a bunch, pick your fav.

Then we gots to get in the water....here, i'll hold the board... you climb on.
ok.GOOD!!! . now when it wobbles you just gotta shake your shoulders and wiggle your butt so you stay standing and don't fall off.
come on.. let's do it girl!! we'll just keep practicing.. you'll be a pro in no time. oliver

If she's not eating and her numbers are high, please get a ketone test, today. If you don't already have them, buy some ketones test strips. Make sure that the vet tests for ketones, too.

LOL!! That Ollie is a surfin' dude. I think you may be right as she just gave me a 174 @ +6 so let's see what she does from here.

She just posted a 174 @ +6 so she may be coming around from the increase. I had put down her aquarium gravel LB for ketone testing before I left a while ago and she had not used it when I came back. But the good news is the 174 and I cleaned her breffis bowl out and gave her 1/4 can FF LC w/Fortiflora and she is still working on that I wonder if the new dose, depot adjustment and Hi readings could have just made her feel "out of it" for this morning because she usually works on her breffis pretty good after her shot.
The gravel LB is the only way I can ever get ketone tests from her b/c she won't let anyone near her lb when she is using it.

Hi Robert. My, my....when Mali decides to give you some nice numbers she doesn't fool around. It is so nice to see her in blue zone. Fingers crossed that she keeps working the new dose.

She has a way of throwing us off guard, doesn't she? I just hope we've started a trend. I think the ketones are in good order b/c she really hasn't shown any other signs of them.

Maybe not the way you wanted to start the day, but a dip into the blue lagoon is nice to see. Mali hasn't had one of those for a long time. Plus, Ollie teaching Mali to surf is priceless. A good day, even is she does bounce up later.

Deb you are right about the surf being a long time ago for Mali. Isn't Ollie a good surfing instructor? I hope Mali can afford his lessons :lol:
She jumped back up at PMPS to 489, but I think, at least, we saw an AM nadir for her for the first time.

Doesn't she wear blue nicely? And glad she starting eating, too...she has woofed down 1 can of FF today and on her second one now.
I will try to test around +5 or 6 tonight since that was where her blue was this morning..don't know if that correlates that closely or not but I'll give it a shot.

A +6 would be good. From Hi to 174 at +6 is quite a drop. She may bounce tonight, just so you know.
