Lulu seems to be hanging about in the blue zone since her reduction (except for that small blip of yellow yesterday), so I'm happy with that. I'm managing to stay strong with the diet; thankfully, she's not yeowling for food, just sits by her empty bowl and stares at me forlornly, or goes looking in Otis and Coco's bowls, but they're empty too. I'm taking @Wendy&Neko 's advice to feed mini-meals at first, I just think she's so used to stuffing herself that hunger pangs are unfamiliar to her.
I hope everyone is having a great and wonderful day. We have a severe thunderstorm warning right now, so I'll be off the computer once that hits. I do have a surge bar, but don't want to chance wrecking yet another computer.
Was trying to respond to some postings last night, when the site went down. So I'll just say that my thoughts were with you: vines to those in need, high-five to those who were having a smooth and easy day.
Have you ever made chicken broth for Lulu? It has very few calories and will fill her up a bit. I use it every day.
You would need to make your own but it is easy. Just chicken bones gently boiled for several hours (up to 6 or 8 hours). Don't add anything else. Strain and refrigerate. Next day skim off the fat. It should be like jelly. I put it into ice cube trays and freeze and use when needed. I always have a couple of containers full of little frozen cubes in the freezer.........just an idea...might fill Lulu's tummy up. To use they can be just left and they will defrost as a jelly or you can heat them and it will become liquid again. Sheba loves them and I use them when I test her bsl.
Thanks, Bron . Actually, I have a leftover chicken in the fridge, so I`ll try your recipe tomorrow. Lulu loves chicken, so I`m sure she`ll love this broth.
Tanks, China, I`s hopin to come for a swim soon. Mama says we gotta wait an see what this reducie does. I hopes it work, cuz don`t want anuvver dosecrease.
Now then Lulu, I think you want to show your Mama some green numbers before her trigger finger gets too itchy!!
Might it be the storms that are keeping her just a touch higher? My 2 always get really agitated before and during thunderstorms (and they don't have to be particularly bad ones either - they just don't like them).
