Good morning out there on this lovely Sunday morning! Sending healing vines to Rocket and Rusty (feel better soon, dude) and also our thoughts and prayers to Sandy, Lauren, MJ, and Roni. Nothing can help with their loss of their beloved companion but we hope, in time, they will find peace.

Gracie is doing great this morning. Slept like a baby but...oh yeah...she's a cat and they do! I passed out last night after DBFF left and with a 261 at +4, I wasn't too worried but don't know if Gracie came down a little more and went up and then the 249 is her second dip or if she's been doing this slow slide all night. I'm thinking it's the former!! She's out on the "catio" (the enclosed patio) this morning taking in the "warm" (understatement) breeze and watching for lizards and ground squirrels. She said they all had a great time at Rusty's yesterday.

So I took the bait and went to Target to buy the infamous "cubes". They had two boxes ($9+ each) with two cubes in a box so I thought.."wow...if two are fun, four will be a blast". And online they only came in red/blue but in the store they were blue/brown which is the same colors as in the guest room where the kitties like to play. Put them together last night.....did not hear any running back and forth, sliding, etc. After DBFF left, I went back there and Gracie was sitting in one cube, big eyes looking out and Tobey in another, big eyes looking out. I said "PLAY!!!". And they said "WHAT?? Do we look like circus ponies?" :lol: :lol: :lol: So the jury is still out.......

I'll be checking condos later....gotta get my ~O) ~O) ~O) , breffis, workout done. Definitely have to squeeze some pool time in today. :cool: :cool: :cool:

Morning guys! Happy Sunday!

Lots of mellow yellows going on in Gracie's world. Gracie... what is up with that? Resting those internal organs? Looking for those blues and greens - maybe later today?

What a life: on the catio watching for lizards and squirrels.... YES!

Well you will have to post the results of the cubes. I bought some a while back - Mannie walked trough them, sat in one, and that was the last time he even shot them a glance. No comparison he says to the power of the nanners. :lol: :lol: They are now in the office area, gathering dust. I hope that Gracie and Tobey play with them. Nice on the color! When I got mine all they had was red - bright bright red. :shock: of course that was a perfect match to the decor. :lol: :lol:

Gracie - we are off to Rusty's - it's sunny,. but not hot. We though we'd do some grillin'. Maybe you can catch some of those lizards and squirrels... YUM! You wanna come? ~~ Mannie

Well sounds like the Gracie and Tobey jury is still out on those cubes huh?

How have the AZ fires been doing? I haven't turned my tv on in awhile so i haven't seen the news. Last i heard it was the biggest fire AZ has ever seen?

Well sounds like you've got yourself a pretty perfect Sunday planned, do the kitties get to spend Fathers Day with daddybean?

Great minds think alike - I did the same exact thing yesterday, with the same exact response! Mine are also blue and brown, and I was disappointed that the little velcro tabs they came with didn't work with sticking them together...definitely made in China, since someone didn't realize that you need one "loop" piece and one "hook" piece in order for velcro to work!

At one point, Frankie was in a cube and Zen jumped on top of it. Since neither of them expected the cube to collapes, this caused quite the fat-tailed chain reaction amongst the whole herd :lol: ! (I always feel bad laughing at them when something like that happens, but I can't help myself!!) Since then, Frankie has been a little jittery around the cubes, but I think she'll get over it.

Jury is still out over here, too...

sounds like you guys in AZ have some heat....can you send some our way? it's been cold, windy, rainy....miserable here.....

Come on Gracie, show what you can do on this dose. I hope you put the patience pants on after the swim.

The pool sounds like a great idea in that heat. Here the marine layer finally is burning off, cool and breezy.

Our Cubes are purple, deep and not as bright as the red. The chartreuse edging, however! :roll: Tess doesn't play in her's either, she has her own uses for them.

Hey ya'll. Well most of the way through my chores list today!!

Michelle: I didn't know you had cubes! Bright red, eh?? Do they even sleep in them? So far...they play in them if I'm doing interactive play but they don't play like Gabby and Gizmo! And yes....we're back to lots of yellow!

Tracy: The AZ fires are horrid...all around us but thankfully not close enough to affect us. We are surrounded by Natl Forest and they have closed them all in the hopes of no human caused fires. There are at least four enormous fires going and the Wallow fire in eastern AZ is the biggest one in the history of AZ. The pictures are so, so sad....the beautiful forests gone. Mike will be home late tonight!

Amy: That's too funny about us both getting the cubes. I thought the velcro design was weird but I just took the little strips in the pkg and attached one end on the inside of one cube to the velcro and then the other end to an adjoining cube. That's also very funny about Frankie and Zen...so far none here have tried to jump on top...surprising because I figured Tobey would!

Patty: lower yellow but that's about it. Yes...pool time as soon as I do condos! Thanks for wishing Mike a Happy Father's Day!! His daughter called him and looks like she might be coming down this summer with our grandson.

Claudia: how funny because I am jealous of RAIN!!! The pool time is great but we need reain so badly. Thanks for the wishes for Mike, too!

Ann: Oh I LOVE Tess's pictures and that is so adorable of her in the cube sleeping!!! I just want to snuggle her!!! And I'm not waiting to put my yellow patience pants on...I bought a yellow patience bikini for the pool!! :lol: :lol: :lol: Unfortunately, this is NOT a picture of me :lol: :lol: :lol:

I defintely got ripped off with my little velcro strips, because the ones in the package were made of the same material as the ones inside the cubes...velcro ain't gonna work without two different kinds of strips. Oh well, what can ya do!

Tess's cube use is adorable. I may run out to a fabric store this week and buy some of that fleece blanket stuff to line our cubes with...

Love the bikini :lol: :lol: :lol: - very appropriate for this time of year!

Hi Marje, I also bought the cubes some time ago, but Maggie never took to them for some reason. I gave them to someone here who has two kittens and they love them. I'm afraid Maggie is a couch potato or on my recliner. It looks like Gracie likes yellow today. Love the yellow bikini and the pics of Tess in the cubes. Hope you are having a relaxing Sunday.

Sid is a skittish kitty and likes to sleep/hide in the cubes. And both girls love to hide it them when we are playing w/their toys.....They will hide in the cube and watch the toy until its time to pounce.

I have the big RED cubes.

Amy: yes you did get ripped off!!! I had twice as many as I need and they were all fine. I'll need to get something to line theirs too if I keep them...but right now they are cool for summer. Like my patience 'kini!

Ann: I think Maggie has the right idea :lol:

Tena: I would have never guessed that Sid is skittish. I think I've seen pics/videos of them playing from the cubes.

So not a bad number for Gracie for PMPS as long as she comes down. Daddy will be home late tonight!!! Have a great evening. Time for din din and then kitty grooming including the teefies.

Wow....can you say "flat yellow" class?!! I guess she loves the title, huh?! Come on down now, Gracie. You know you want this dose to work out.

Well, Tess made up that 30 points and then some, so not too bad a food spike. Is Gracie going to let you guys sleep tonight?
 
AAhhh...million dollar question!! I have to work tomorrow so I'm headed for bed. Mike will be in by +4 and will check. I'm guessing it will be a quiet night so I'm shutting down the 'puter.
