6/19 Dusty's AMPS 318

:?: I meant to ask this question yesterday, but was side tracked.
Dusty has been on 7u for 8 cycles. He continues to drop in numbers and I still don't have any idea of what his Nadir is.
Do you think I should continue on 7u until the weekend when I can do more testing or do you think I should increase his insulin to 7.5u or 8u for his evening shot?

You really need to get more tests in I think. You don't want to increase if he is dropping low at any point during his cycle and you don't know if he is without more tests.. I hope also you are testing for ketones..

Nice to see some pinks instead of reds and blacks though...

Are you able to get any additional tests during the PM cycle?

I actually think you're OK to increase. However, as soon as you see more pink than red, you'll need to slow down. I would suggest you follow the instructions that Jill laid out several days ago.

i agree with sienne on all points. at least a before bed spot check is a good habit for all of us to get into every night.
