Yesterday's Condo
Another late condo. Sorry. I went to visit Sasha today. They are keeping her another day because she developed an ulcer in her left eye. The vet said it is common in cats that have long surgeries because the eyes get very dry and are easily irritated. They have been putting an antibiotic gel in it and an ophthalmologist looked at it today and said it should heal with no issues. They want to see improvement in it before they release her. I spent about half an hour with her, down on the floor, just petting and loving on her. She was happy to see me and purred up a storm. The vet student, Amy, said she's the most popular kitty there, and other students keep offering to do her checks, but Amy says, "no, she's mine". I gave her a good cuddle before I left. She only did a little hopping around for me. Amy said they just took a catheter out of her leg before I came, and that had inhibited her movements, so she wasn't used to being able to move around yet. They will call tomorrow morning after the doctor sees her and let me know when we can go get her. I was very proud of myself that I didn't cry.
Cinco was a flat yellow kitty this morning, so I gave him a pokey break. I'm okay with a low yellow surf, although I'd prefer a mid to low blue one! If he keeps this up for the next couple of days, another dosecrease may be in the cards for Sunday night. We'll see. He did stick his toe in the lagoon yesterday. Just puttin' it out there...
Harvey is being very needy and picky about his food. I'm not sure if he's still feeling off or just feels like he's not getting enough attention. I'm giving him plenty of loving, but I refuse to open three different cans of cat food to get him to eat (for now, anyway). He gets his choice of two and usually ends up eating one after fussing for a while. Little knothead.
Sending healing vines to all in need, and hugs to all their beans. :YMHUG:
