Meal question:
When we were on Vetsulin, I know it was super important for her to have eaten before her shot because of how that insulin works. With Lantus, I know it takes a couple of hours for it set in. So if she’s not necessarily interested in food when I set it down, is it still okay for me to shoot? She’s typically a grazer and will eat eventually. But she’s only had a few bites this morning so far (almost +2), and I even drizzled a little gravy over it to make it more enticing. It also hasn’t helped that her civvie brother has been all over me as I’m trying to get her to eat.

Chloe and Ruby are united in their breakfast strike today. The answer is yes if you know she will eat eventually. I would just test her to make sure she’s not dropping too low. Maybe she’s holding out for some yummy MC!

I still haven’t figured out what varieties of LC wet Chloe will eat consistently. Last night she went to town on some Friskies pate, which she had always snubbed before. Of course that was my only can so… she got a variety platter of whatever was already opened plus a fresh can of Merrick pate (which she has devoured twice), and no interest. So I’m wondering if she just doesn’t like the mix. Opened ANOTHER can on its own dish and she gave that a bit more attention.

I swear, I have spent more on her groceries in the last month than on my own!

Hanging mostly in the blues with this dose, but there was a green this afternoon :D

I bought a range of pate varieties since those are now no longer off the table. If she likes the 60¢ Friskies better than this 90¢ Fancy Feast, I’ll be happy with that!

You had a good stable day with some greens without any :eek:o_O. Glad you could catch your breath today.
Me too! This feels like generally a good dose for her for now. Drinking and peeing are much more normal.

Still not quite the kitty she was 2 months ago before she came out of remission. She’s been grooming less and she doesn’t really play anymore. Going to the vet on Wednesday to check out a few other things.
