Yesterday

Not much to report...happy appy, snuggles...all the usuals. She is not happy with her "Expires March 2017" Purina One fuds, though. I have scoured all the local stores, and believe it or not, they ALL have the same batch!! So frustrating. It has been a week or so since I've checked, so I'm going to run out later today and see if anyone has restocked with a different batch. I know it's the batch, because when I had her do a side-by-side "taste test" between March 2017 and Jan 2017, she was quite pleased with the Jan 2017 and fairly disgusted with the March 2017. Oh these kitties...

My Dad's bone scan is scheduled for Monday. Naturally, my anxiety is maxed...as usual. Big sigh.

It is amazing how our kitties can love one batch and can't stand the next. It is so frustrating. Sometimes when Sammy does this I mix the food with another food that he likes and the combination makes it okay. It first I thought mixing the food would be gross but he seems to like it like that. And then the addition of the Orijen Treats sprinkled on top always make it even better.

I wish cat food was more consistent. I hope you can find a different batch that Trixie likes.

How frustrating w/ the food and of course if you contact the company they will say nothing has changed!

Maybe send them a video of the side-by-side taste test.

Unfortunately I'm out of the Jan 2017 fuds now...I did the test a week or so ago, when she was being fussy about the new batch I brought in. At that time, I scoured all local stores for any and all non-March 2017 fuds, and at this point March is all that they and I have left. Trix will eat some of it, but not very enthusiastically! I still haven't gone out to stores yet today, so hopefully someone has restocked with a fresh batch.

I have had that same problem, although I haven't compared batch numbers. I also found that some foods the like the small cans but not the large cans! There is good reason they call cats finicky!!!

I'm glad Trixie is otherwise doing so well.

I suppose any itty bitty change can put a cat off. Still, there's an irony that my cats at work will eagerly dig into rodents without pause...and I suspect each is different depending on what the rodent's eaten...but stiff nose one batch of food over another. Darn cats!
