Yesterday's Condo

Sammy seems to be doing a little better today. He went right to the food this morning without extra coaxing, although he still didn't eat that much.

I did give him ¼ tablet Famotidine this morning as well. He hasn't vomited since yesterday afternoon so that is definitely a good thing. If he isn't eating more by this afternoon then I will contact the vet and see about getting some nausea and pain medication.

Sammy just ate a good amount of food, which is a little bit before +4. Now I am on vomit watch to make sure he holds it down, because it was more than I thought he might eat in one sitting.

Sending tons of anti-vomit/pro-eating vines and prayers for Sammy!! I know that feeling you have during a watch....mixed emotions of being happy they ate well/scared they'll barf it up. Be well, Sammy!

Sammy seems to be back to eating normally, well, maybe not quite 100%, but at least 85%. I will give him another Famotidine this evening to keep the momentum going. And so far so good on the BG, the numbers are staying down right now so at this moment I am fairly certain that the higher numbers of the last week or so were because he was getting too much insulin. I am half tempted to try another OTJ trial, but I really don't want to rush it.

Nice to see Sammy's numbers coming back down again. Sending vines that Sammy keeps eating.

Thanks! I am very happy to see his numbers coming back down. I am so glad I went with my instincts on this one. Tomorrow will be the real test after 24 hours of eating normally.
