Mouzer ate his normal brekky and at +4 he ate his mini-meal and wanted the other half, so I give it to him because I am fortunate when these stomatitis kitties will push through pain and eat. Mouzer has eaten near half of his normal intake for the past several days.
Tommy Cat, the other stomatitis kitty, has eaten even less, with eating nothing at all yesterday.
So, today was the day they both were hungry enough to push through pain and eat.
I am always so thankful when they eat.

I did not go to church again today, so I got work done over at mom's place, with the animals over there and doing a few home chores with mom's place. I have to go over to where mom stays with her alzheimer's friend and tend to some chores over there, so I might not get back for about six hours on this go round. I am working to catch up what all got behind with all of our places, so getting 'er done the best I can.

Cheryl, it is time for a testaholics anonymous intervention. If he is green in the AM, then put away your test kit and go about your day until PM time. This is the hardest part about kitties going off the juice. You can do it!

How many teeth does Mouzer have left? Sounds like he would feel much better with all of them gone. Gentle scratches to the little guy.

FME, for the Feline Stomatitis kitty, has to be performed by a specialist, veterinarian of dentistry. They are not cheap.
Mouzer has all of his teeth and $3000 to $4000 will get them all gone. Tommy Cat is missing some teeth and $2500 to $3500 will get them all gone.
If I had the money for such things as this, Tommy Cat would have had his out three years ago.

Our regular vet said it would cost Tommy Cat around $4000 to $4500, to do it with the regular vet, due to the regular vet not being experienced enough to get those fine roots, quickly. It cost more, the longer they have to be kept under, and it is more dangerous for the kitty to be kept under for a long period of time, And that is if the regular vet would even do FME on Tommy Cat, but they would not do it. The regular vet does not know how to do this - properly. They would still leave the kitty with stomatitis.

Only a specialist can do this with a feline stomatitis kitty, do it correctly the first time, get in and get out fast, so the kitty is put under for a least amount of time as is possible.
There are fine roots that must be gotten and there will be several xrays performed, one before, one after, if have to go back in, another xray and then another xray, so on and so forth, to make sure those fine roots have all been gotten out.

Even after paying such thousands of dollars, to a specialist, for this to be done, there is still no guarantee that there will be no stomatitis.
So, if you have such money as this, you could spend that money, only to find, you are still left with the same stomatitis you have been fighting.

I am testing Mouzer because I do not want his rising and I dont know that he does. I am watching to give it time.
I took more time away today and I will each day, until I feel safe enough to just do a couple of test a day.

Ouch on needing all of his teeth removed! When I worked at a shelter we had one kitty have all her teeth removed. What a difference it made, but it was a rough couple weeks after.

It isnt a big ouch on the kitty to have all teeth removed. It is the thousands of dollars needed to do it, that is the big ouch lol
