OK, have re-set start time and she was drinking water while waiting for breakfast and shot (AMPS >400). From an experiment/data perspective this is all interesting.

My next question is whether it's a good idea to add R now, or not? I know not supposed to be done during a new dose but this is an unusual situation. And if not now, what about mid-cycle?

If nothing else, this is definitely an interesting data collection point. Decent drop of 90 at +3 (typical onset) and ketones only crept up from normal 0.3 to 0.4 with the skip+infection. I'm curious how low she will get today.

I'm talking to myself here but I'm finding it interesting how quickly the dose is having an effect. When she has been high, I have been used to her mostly staying high and not dropping like this. I was wondering if emptying the depot meant we were starting from scratch to an extent but apparently not, I am guessing her body is now used to the lower numbers so the skip was a blip and she's hopefully going to get to more sensible and at the same time safe numbers for tomorrow.

Don't like that she's drinking water though even though I know it's good for her to hydrate, don't like what it indicates

Interesting to know what she could do on her own without R. I would have done a bit of R at +3 last night to sort of coast her a bit. For future reference.

You don’t do R on the first cycle of an increase, fine on a decrease. Basically you are trying to avoid R on cycles she might be dropping anyway with the L.

Thanks for the info. I think I'm glad I didn't know that last night!! I have been using 300 as my R cutoff so it wouldn't have occurred to me anyway, though now I think about it of course it makes sense. Still, it spared her a few pokeys. Speaking of which, time for the +8 check!

What does it say about my cat that I am not particularly disappointed with this PMPS?! The 530 shot time seems to work nicely for her biorhythms...just not mine! They usually want food around this time, though she refused her refill...but not a problem because she can get 2nd dinner at (normal) shot time!
