Good Morning LL!! ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) (white mocha today - the biggest I could get, yum!), and Happy Catfurday!

Hi all.... Sorry to be so MIA for the past few days... what with DGS duties, and family stuff, it's been a little crazy. I thank you all for visiting Mannie, and am sorry I couldn't get back to you all...

I enjoyed Mannie's cycle yesterday - what nice slow slidage from yellow to green.  :-D It looks like maybe he surfed the greens for a while last night - we have a nice 131 for amps. SWEET! Mannie - good job, once again. I do indeed think that maybe we have turned that corner, and soon, maybe, we can consider you regulated. What'd'ya think? Either way - your bean lubs ya! cat_pet_icon

The kitty alarms were in full force this morning... instead of the lineup at the top of the stairs, they were all lined up at the foot of the bed. "that look" was in full force. The head alarm cat, BJ, was intensely pawing at my nose, bellowing in my face, with full kitty choir backup singing along. shessshhhhh! It was later that I discovered a cute scratch down the front of my nose. :o   I guess I really must have been non-responsive and she, BJ, felt the need to bring out the big guns.    Today's saga with the auto feeder: Of course the Manster ignores the +2 offering, but his civvie sister Elsa did not. She got the fuds, the bean reminded Mannie, who was busy with the nanners, that once again he missed breffis #3. So we haul him into the kitchen, place him in the position, and he promptly walks over to Elsa had whacks her on the nose.    Well OK then... and normalcy in MannieLand. All three of them are now napping.... Mannie on top of the nanners. All is well in MannieLand.

Have a great day everyone! No clue what will be here today. I had so hoped to be hiking, had everything prepped, ready to go. but..... woke up to a monsoon at my hiking destination, decided that if I want to get that wet I can do that at home, where it is also raining. well darn it anyways!! We have more low tides here today, I think I shall go get wet looking for marine life. Works for me.

My friends!!! It is cold and wet and rainy and nasty here. Sun anyone? I so wanna play, maybe some dune buggys or sand rolling oi hang-gliding or mountain climbing, or... what you guys wanna do? I am ready for anything!! ~~ Mannie

Re: 6/18 Mannie AMPS 131, +1 178, +2 173

Kitty alarms are certainly amusing....sorry about the scratch....3 looking at you....how funny! :o ;-) :-D Sometimes you just gotta laugh....it is amazing the internal clocks the kitties have. I have watched Zoe sleeping soundly in the sun and promptly 10 minutes before PM Test-Feed-Shoot, she will stretch, roll over, come inside and begin staring at me......like I would forget  sheesh!!

Mannie...all your ideas sound good.....maybe we should start with a visit to Rusty, his bean said he threw up and wasn't feeling real good....so maybe some KTSS first? ~Zoe

Re: 6/18 Mannie AMPS 131, +1 178, +2 173

Hi Michelle & Mannie,
Too bad about your heavy rain. I remember that from my days in Seattle. It would be raining lightly and as soon as I started off to the university on my bike, it would come down in buckets! I hope you can get out later. A walk to the shore sounds good.

Mannie, you look great this morning. But you've got to learn to use your Automat. Elsa is going to get fat!!

Have a fine day, all of you,

Ella & Rusty

Hi Mannie, Come over to my place today. We have sunshine. We can go down to the farmers' market and see what they have and maybe do some cooking.
Rusty

Re: 6/18 Mannie AMPS 131, +1 178, +2 173

Just love reading your condo each day....puts a HUGE smile on my face.

Your kitty crew is a hoot......and so are you Michelle.....

Have a good hike.

Re: 6/18 Mannie AMPS 131, +1 178, +2 173

My goodness, Michelle, your mornings are eventful.
Sorry about all the rain, but true to your nature, you find something positive in it....looking for marine life. :-D
Barb

Hey Mannie, I'd invite you out here, to the country. We could go for a stroll and look at cows, but that's all we have to offer.
Your friend, Checkers

Re: 6/18 Mannie AMPS 131, +1 178, +2 173

Michelle, thanks for the laughter once again with the morning Mannie updates. I've missed them so....
I'm happy to see that nothing has changed in my absence and that all is well in Mannie Nanner Land!!
Thank you also for the kind words and support for Charlie and me this past week. I look forward to more Mannie antics :-D
I hope that you have a wonderful Saturday. :YMHUG:

Re: 6/18 Mannie AMPS 131, +1 178, +2 173

Hi Michelle, too funny with Mannie whacking poor Elsa. I'd like to see the day when she whacks him back! I am going to buy one of the auto feeders that have room for an ice pak for Maggie. I notice when I leave food while I'm gone, it looks terrible when I return. You have three total kitties, right! I admire you all with more than two pets, as I can't keep up with one! Sorry about the rain. We have June gloom as they call it, but the sun comes out later.

Hey, Mannie, you can picks me up for the ride to Rusty's and the Farmer's Market and wherever the Spirit takes us for the day, thanks, Maggie

Re: 6/18 Mannie AMPS 131, +1 178, +2 173

   Getting a Nose whacking is the order of the day for you and for Elsa.

When BigMac first needed scheduled feeding, I decided to get an autofeeder. But it wasn't fair to his sister so I bought two feeders and have them synchronized to open simultaneously, which seems to work well. I mainly used them for the overnight feedings (when he was OTJ.) But since I have to get up to test BigMac again these days, I don't use them at night. Just when I have to be out of the house for extended times.
I was thinking that you could get an autofeeder for Elsa too, but then realized you have 3 (or more?) kitties and that one extra autofeeder isn't really going to be helpful. A feeder for every cat would get WAY too crazy at your house and it sounds crazy enough as it is. Hahahaha!! ohmygod_smile

Re: 6/18 Mannie AMPS 131, +1 178, +2 173, +4 123

Isn't it hard to sleep when you feel three little sets of eyes staring at you? BAD BEAN they say...FEED US   Seems like both the girls are very savvy to the auto feeder...Mannie...uh, dude??? Nice blue surf, though.

Sorry you won't be able to get out on your hike. We could really use your rain. I know you are busy with DGS Wed-Fri...don't know how you shuffle all that you do. Thank you for your comments on Tommy's condo yesterday...  Hugs!

Re: 6/18 Mannie AMPS 131, +1 178, +2 173, +4 123

123 @ +4. nice!!, and Go Mannie!

Hi Sherry - yup, that was darn amusing this morning. All three of them singing the blues - and I wasn't even late!   And yes you just gotta laugh - I really did when I saw my nose.    I don't even remember her doing it. shesssshhhh! Their internal clocks never cease to amaze me. GO ZOE: Mannie would be so proud!

Hi Ella - oh yes... the rains of Seattle.... And it's doing the same darn thing in eastern washington, at last where I was headed. It's a strange rain today - normal wet heavy rains, but mixed in with it is this misty drizzly stuff. One can hardly see across the street. and yes - I will go out this afternoon, rain or not. I do like our low tides - so much to see. Miss Ella? OK..... I will try..... I suppose that my bean is right... and well Elsa doesn't need my fuds, ya know? ~~ Mannie

Hi Tena - thx... :-D they are an interesting lot here. they are all seniors, and most of the time is spent sawing logs... but when they get going - ohmygod_smile     it's fun to watch older cats just being cats...

Morning Barb - oh yes on the mornings - they make sure I don't forget anything.  especially if it involves them. love them all. and thx - I do try.... no point in the negative - there is something good that can be found in the disappointments of daily living. well most of the time anyways... :-D

Hi Lauren - :-D yes-sir-eee-bob - all is well in MannieLand - never a dull moment with him. He is so laid back that this funny things he does just makes them funnier, enjoyable. and thanks on the rest. yep - the Saturday is starting out well, despite the rains....

Hi Ann, and Miss Maggie - oh I know - I keep telling her - whack back. she just looks at me with the "what? are you serious? uhhhhh no....." look. She's a tortie without the torite 'tude, and hence the low man on the totem pole here. Any sign on confrontation and she takes off.... and from a tortie? silly girl! and yes - three total. oh well on the rains - they say sun later - it is our version of your June Gloom. I hope it clears....

Morning CD - it was too funny... once I woke up and realized it was a united front.  And yeah on the kitties: 3. I dunno on this whole feeder thing. Mannie had it down sometime ago and would go and eat and soon as he heard it - for whatever reason he decided it could wait until he was good and ready, which would have been fine, if Elsa hadn't discovered it. I wonder if I did get another if she would eat them both, the little "miss hoover".... the third doesn't table jump, which is where the silly thing is. oh well.... we keep trying Mannie will get it together again and use the stupid thing when he hears it open.

Hi Marje - oh yes... a definite case of, in their opinion, BAD BEAN!  Mannie is well.... Mannie. i know on the hike - I had so hoped, as today was the only day I had for it this week through the next. it's OK though - the shore here is nice, when the tides our out. I take my boots, wade on out - it is amazing what you can find - moving living things just a few feet of the shoreline. oh I dunno on the shuffling thing - always been able to multitask well - saved me many a time... on the rest?: Well it is true - you are an asset here, for many reasons.

Gracie - WAKE UP!! KTSS is needed and well - we gots things to do!! I will come and gets you. Gotta find Tess too - ~~ Mannie

Maggie - on my way! I thinks I will like the farmer's market - they are fun! I like the idea of seeing where the rest of the day will take us - COOL! See you soon! ~~ Mannie

Hey Checks! You moved yet to the falls?? if not, Ya wanna come with us to Rusty's?? ~~ Mannie

Hey Rusty!!! no arguments now.... the KTSS is bringing you some chicken soup - you got sick, and well we gots to make sure you are all better! And then we will go to the FARMER'S MARKET!! I LBS those!! I bet they gots really good fuds - maybe they will give out samples if we beg enough.. See you soon!! ~~ Mannie

Zoe - that would be so cool! Let's do it - round up the KTSS, and bring some chicken soup for Rusty. He says they have sun - I'm all for that. It is still raining here.... On my way to picks you up! ~~ Mannie

Re: 6/18 Mannie AMPS 131, +1 178, +2 173, +4 123

Yep, bounces are less. Nice cycles for the Mannie Man. Hope you have a great weekend and a good hike. Bad storms here last night a 3 injured horses -back to barn.

Re: 6/18 Mannie AMPS 131, +1 178, +2 173, +4 123, +6 134

134 @ +6. hmmmm..... nice blue surf going on here. Go Mannie? thinking of those greens? Maybe?

Hi Barbara - yeah I think so too. Much less, shorter when we do get one. Thanks on the weekend, I hope for a mellow not too busy one. Off in a few to hike down to the shoreline, see what I can find. Always good stuff! ---- and bummer on the storms, and the injured horses. I hope it isn't serious and they will be OK.

Re: 6/18 Mannie AMPS 131, +1 178, +2 173, +4 123, +6 134

He's saving the green surf for tonight because he knows how much you love to stay up

Mannie.....we're in!!! KTSS for Rusty coming right up!!! It's too hot here even with the pool so let's go where it is sunny and cool. Tobey is flexing his paws to give Rusty a good massage!! See you soon.

Re: 6/18 Mannie AMPS 131, +1 178, +2 173, +4 123, +6 134

Mannie has so much personality!! I love how he blamed Elsa for him being late to the feeder!! Poor, tolerant Elsa

I have to say I really envy you being able to go to the shore whenever you want. I don't know how I ended up being a desert rat because unrelenting sun just isn't my thing!! Whenever it rains here (once in a blue moon), I open all the blinds so I can see the rain run down the windows!! I've been known to sit in my garage with the door open just to watch the rain. I've even been known to make any excuse to jump in the car when it's raining just so I can see if the windshield wipers work!!  Of course, if I lived where it rained a lot, maybe I wouldn't be so nuts for the wet stuff.

Looks like Mannie is having a lovely blue AM cycle!!! I'm sure he'll be doing the green dance tonight!!

Have a wonderful Saturday, Michelle!! :-D

Re: 6/18 Mannie +11 242, PMPS 220

242 @ +11
220 @ PMPS
and we have gone yellow... what a sunny yellow it is! :-D Pmps is down from his +11, so maybe it will be an interesting evening.

Hi Patty - yup, the Elsa whack was kinda funny - he messes up but she gets the whack. And thanks - I am lucky - very close to the shoreline here - about 2 miles to get there, via a nice woodsy trail. The sounds beaches here are different, very rocky, with patches of sand, but we do get the critters. As crazy as it sounds I love to go there when it rains, as the area is deserted of people, and what critters we do have come out and play. It is great to be able to watch them unhindered my man's presence. We had river otter and osprey today. SWEET! -- and I think that if I were in your shoes, lived in the desert like you do I'd be doing the same thing -watching the rains.   and thanks - so far this day is great!

Hi Marje -  oh you could be so right.... there was a time when that was the only time I saw them, and the numbers kept moving down until at least +7. those were fun days.

Gracie - YAY!!! Tobey is the best! He sure does wash his paws funny though.... I am glad we can help Rusty, and well..... I CAN'T WAIT FOR THE FARMER'S MARKET!!! See you! ~~ Mannie

Re: 6/18 Mannie +11 242, PMPS 220, +2 202, +4 96, +4.5 103

Nice +4, but a little fast there Mannie. I hope this is the start of a nice serf.

Sheesh! u know I visited your condo this morning, but my post is no where to be seen. confused_cat

   Ann, I love the way you spelled "surf" as "serf"...likes he's a peasant. Isn't it funny how our fingers will type what they want. I actually once typed "hear" when I meant "here." Why would my fingers do that?!!
