Sorry we were MIA yesterday. Just never found the time to sit down at the PC and get it done. Today is a challenge, as the utility company is doing maintenance in the area and our electricity was off for an hour this morning and will be off for two hours this afternoon. Luckily, we got the Delta Breeze back, so with the windows open, it's comfortable in the house. Don't know what we would have done if it had been a hot day! I can't use my PC to get on the internet, as DH shut down our server this morning to protect it. I'm using my tablet and my airtime, so I won't be doing much visiting until tonight when DH gets home and powers things back up.

Yesterday Cinco was a very good boy, numbers-wise, while Minka and I were gone to UCD. He was a very bad boy in that he peed all over the floor next to his litter boxes twice!!!! I don't know what's going on with that. He used both boxes during the day, too, so it isn't that he can't get into them. I'm starting to wonder if he might have a UTI or something - can't always make it to the box??? I may have to haul him in to see his regular vet. Thoughts?

His numbers last night were great, and he was briefly in the lagoon on Tuesday, too. Today looks like a copy of yesterday. That's okay, as I have to run to UCD this after noon. They gave me some injectible Ondansetron (thanks, @tiffmaxee ), but forgot to give me the syringes!!

So Minka's monthly checkup with Oncology was yesterday. Her bloodwork was good - anemia improved again. Kidney values were a little higher, so they did a urinalysis and she has another UTI! Culture is being done. I started her on Clavamox last night. She had a "good" day yesterday - not great, but she ate an acceptable amount. This morning she CPC'd her breffis in two sittings. The Oncologist said that on her very bad days she wants me to give her an extra 50mls of fluids - so 100mls both morning and night.

Sasha is doing fine - same summer appy kind of thing, but boy does she come running when there is baby food being distributed! I wish I could get it on video - it's really amazing and pretty funny.

Harvey is being Mr. Picky this morning, but I know his tummy is fine as he has eaten dry food. I'm trying to outlast him.

Gotta run and do Minka's fluids, then get off to get those syringes. I have a couple other errands I can run, too, so isn't a total waste of time.

I'll try to catch up with everyone tonight when I'm back on the PC.

Sending healing vines to all in need and hugs to all their beans :bighug: Special vines and extra hugs to @Wendy&Tiggy. Prayers continue for Amy's DF, Marje's DM, Chris's DM, Elise's DM and Molly's DM.

I wondered where you were yesterday and I'm sorry you have more kitty issues. I would start to wonder if perhaps Cinco does have a UTI but I sure hope not.

Pretty nice report from Tricia's House of Chaos.

Can't speak to the out of box peeing. Oh, had my share of it here with two of my now-gone boys. But they were just total inappropriate pee'ers. Behavioral. I could never find a remedy.

Ho'C kitties. Be good.

It's nice to see all that green for Cinco. I hope he doesn't have a UTI. Maybe you could try moving the lbs over just slightly to where he's peeing. Sorry Minka does, but it's great her b/w was good.

Tricia, have you ever bought these urine testing sticks..see below.
Test in the same way as you test for ketones and glucose, but these will show you also SG, nitrites, blood, ph, bilirubin, leucocytes, protein. If you are concerned about one of the cats having a UTI you can test at home...much cheaper than the vet.....then if you are worried you can go to vet. A UTI will usually show up as either blood and / or positive nitrites. These are what the vet tests with. Positive leucocytes in a cat usually mean nothing I am told, as cats usually give a false positive to these so ignore that one.

Hey Cinco!! Was great to see you back in the lagoon last night! You going to head back out tonight? Going to throw some shrimp on the barbi so hope you can make it! Was getting tired of hotdogs ~ China

Sure hope it's not a UTI, but if it is and you can get it cleared up and it means he hits the box more often, I guess it's worth checking out.

Great to hear Minka's still doing well.. getting into the CPC club twice is great!

I wonder if you slipped some cat food into a baby food jar if Sasha would go for it?....LOL
