Let's just say that I am very glad that my cats are so tolerant of kittens! The three new girls are hilarious. So far, they are in a huge dog crate when I am not actively supervising. And they are not happy about it! Every time they woke up during the night, Iris started meowing loudly, wanting me to break her out of prison. I think I heard a huge sigh from Walter when he jumped off the bed and left the bedroom in protest. He needs his beauty sleep.
This morning, they got some supervised playtime. Walter and Sparrow watched them from the very top of the cat tree while Mandarin and Capone tried their best to make friends. They are tiny (Flora weighs a whopping 17 ounces), but they make up for their lack in size with cattitude. The pictures probably speak for themselves... Mandarin just couldn't believe it. First they finish off his breakfast and then they act like they are big and tough. And all he wanted to do was to groom them a bit.
Walter's numbers are still high, but he managed to pull off a yellow start. And as much as I would like to stay home and play with the babies, I have to go to new student orientation today.
