Yesterday was overall a good day with a fair number of blues and greens. As expected Tuxie is starting off in the higher range. Whether this will be the bounce I am expecting or the dawn phenomenon will remain to be seen. If I wasn't so darn tired I would get up during the night and do a +9 or +10 reading to see when his night time numbers really go up. Tuxie eats constantly through the day...little bits of food with most test times(which tend to be pretty often :rolleyes:), so the 5 hours between his last test and his AMPS is probably the longest he goes without some food.

That little brat Tuxie. :cat: I was going to wait until +3 to do his test, but he got into Maxie's food upstairs when I wasn't looking. She is a grazer and I have her food on the dresser, but I moved it to put some laundry there and forgot to put it back up after. I saw Tuxie coming down the stairs licking his lips so I knew what had happened and did his test before the food could influence the numbers. Even when I try not to test so much he makes me do it. :)

Looks like the bounce I was expecting finally hit. I hope it doesn't take too long to clear. :(

At least I can take a break from testing so much today.

I had to laugh.........you can hardly blame Tuxie for taking his chance ........which cat would bypass a bowl of yummy food left on the floor for him?:joyful::eek::joyful::joyful::joyful: Gee thanks Mum...did you leave this here for me?:cat:

I have 3 other food bowl besides Tuxie's and if I don't keep a close watch he is "inspecting" the other 3 bowls. Even when I give him a treat after testing, he heads upstairs to see if there is food left over for HIM. Some days I am racing up and down 2 flights of stairs trying to keep ahead of him. This silly kitty is VERY VERY food motivated.....sigh...:rolleyes:

:joyful::joyful::joyful: He's not silly!
And don't knock having a food motivated cat!:eek::p
I used to complain when Sheba was always under my feet in the kitchen until she got sick and wouldn't eat. Now I never ever complain! :)
And it will keep you fit going up and down the stairs;)

i am not REALLY complaining..it is good exercise for Tuxie..and I guess me as well. I have lost 8 lbs in the last 6 months and I was not overweight to begin with, Tuxie on the other hand has put on about 1.5 lbs in the last 6 months..but it is all solid weight..so I won't complain.

I used to complain about having a food motivated cat, but not since I've read about some of the people here who have cats they have to beg and even syringe feed sometimes.

I'm glad you took a break on testing the rest of the AM cycle. I hope you got a nap in. Looks like he's breaking that bounce tonight. :cool:

I have been so fortunate with Tuxie. In spite of the minor health problems he has just been a high glucose kitty, so that is all I have had to deal with...which is wonderful. I went and did some errands and actually took 4 hours today and just visited with friends...it was very refreshing to be in the "real" world for a little time. Maybe Tuxie knew I needed a break!!:cat:
