Just thinkin, could the insulin have lost its power from when I left it out all
day in the 90 degree weather?
Could it maybe take a week or 2 to die?

just thinkin cause I dont understand his numbers...
will do a curve tomorrow to find out

Thanks

Do a home health check for things which might elevate BG:
eyes clear, not gummy; no redness or discoloration
ears - dirty? smelly?
mouth - tartar, rednes of gums, ulceration, odor? (check inside of cheeks if odor as abscess can hide there)
pee quantity/quality - odor change, blood, ketone test
pooh quantity/quality - odor change, caliber (thin/wide, runny/hard, bloody, mucus, etc), volume
any areas painful, like abdomen?
breathing OK?

etc.

Everything is fine! nothing has changed at all since last week
except his numbers. He is feling good.

I will do a curve tomorrow to make sure he is not going to low in that day
during the week that I am working so his nught numbers are high all night

Thanks!

Hi Sue,
No it doesnt look funny but I am thinking that it takes Shakes awhile to settle in
He went low fast this morning, but I am thinking maybe he was going low all week
and he wasnt used to it...until today
tonight I gave him a very little bit of Evo dry food and his numbers are moving down
more than they did all week....I just dont get this cat!!

so at +3.5 tonght he is at 240 already from 345
I guess we are back to ....he needs at least 4 days to settle into a dose
and he needs a little more carbs to keep things going

Cant wait to checkhim tomorrow!!
thanks and I hope all is well out there!

A curve tomorrow will be good, I'm doing one tomorrow too.

At least it will give you some insight into what is going on during the day.

Hmmm, it's hard to say on the insulin or on the numbers. There are just so many variables. I tend to think he just needs more insulin. You haven't seen any greens, and you did have that one perfect 151 PS, but it hasn't been consistent. It'll be interesting to see what your testing tomorrow turns up!
