Hi Everyone,
We all had a good day. Rusty's poop issue seems to be over (he hasn't had one yet today, however). He ate all his nighttime food last night and all the food set out for him today, while we were on the paddle. He was very happy to see us this afternoon; we got home just before PMPS.
The paddle was beautiful. It was a gorgeous day. We paddled 11 miles on the Fulton Chain of lakes, from Old Forge to Inlet (First Lake to Sixth Lake). This is the start of the route that the 90 Miler follows. The first day of the 90 Miler continues on for 22 miles and includes 2 long portages and several shorter ones. When we pit crew for our friend, the boat builder, we meet him at all the portages to replenish his water supply. He puts his canoe on his shoulder and runs the portages! It's hard to keep up with him.
Tomorrow we return home to get ready for the paddle we are leading on Friday. We are going to change the venue to a lake because there has been so much rain that the river we were planning to do is very fast and dangerous.
The sun is setting and the sky is spectacular. It's hard to believe that more rain is expected tomorrow.

How long does it take to paddle 11 miles? That's quite the trip. Much less the 90 Miler one!
