Just to reassure folks if y'all saw the twin twisters in Pilger NE those were at least 150 miles away from us. But the wall cloud was so big we could see it from our front porch.

I'm actually amazed how well both Autumn and Cassanova are doing through the relocation and all the vicious storms that have followed it.

So relieved to hear that you were not near those twisters! I thought about you all night - those things were wicked.

We so need the rain but they can keep the twisters and the enormous hail. The storm Saturday that took out the power had softball size hail with it however we've been blessed so far all the really bad stuff has missed us.

Its been entertaining watching the Fur Gang settle into the new digs. What we thought was a front sitting room is in fact a kitty wrestling arena. Lol. They line up every morning after breakfast for me to open the French doors then fly in to run, jump and chase around the room. Then they get all riled up come running full speed ahead for the dining room to leap on the table and use the table cloth like a slip and slide.

The other interesting change is some of the shier kids have become more social and some of the bolder ones have become more docile.

Isn't it funny to watch the dynamics change... My boys use the table runner as a slip-n-slide too. Someday I will re-finish the scratches out of the table but for now, it's not worth it. I just put placemats over the scratches on Thanksgiving and dim the lights :lol:

Is there furniture in the front parlor? I guess they are really loving all the extra space. That's great!

No furniture yet in the front parlor. Just a big empty round room. And at the rate things are breaking and needing repaired its gonna be empty for awhile. First the washer dies on the first load in the new place then yesterday the truck's driver's door breaks and now has to be bungee corded to keep it shut so Jon is off work today to fix it or get it fixed if he can't figured out. Somehow I see my $700 budget to furnish that room slipping away in repair bills...sigh.

It's official I'm married to one fantastic guy...HE FIXED MY TRUCK DOOR. With the stupid screw driver I tried to fix it with yesterday. Okay so he had to disassemble the door to figure it out. But its fixed and I've been given a crash course on what to do if it does it again.

Spent most of the morning making dump runs but by tonight we should have at least most of what's coming to the new place here and be ready to get the old place up for rent.

I know that relief when you only have to be at one place!!! I spent more time going back to my old place and all I wanted to do was be at the new place getting it organized. You must be exhausted....

Nice #'s for Autumn and Cassanova! Glad they are liking the new digs. I can't believe how fast you got moved. I go on vacation and come back and you're in a new house. Wow! And so glad you and yours are safe and sound. When I saw the news last night, I had my Mom rewind the story on the twisters to see where in Nebraska they were as I was thinking of you. I'm sure she was wondering why I was so interested in Nebraska... cause I know someone there now!
