Morning,
Maggie let me sleep in a little this morning. I was a bit worried, as she had some loose stool last night. There was just a dribble in the living room, but she made it to the box. I think it may be that I gave her too much of the Beefeaters Freeze Dried Salmon. I added some Fortiflora this morning to her Sophisticat. I sure hope it isn't an infection. It sure did not affect her bg if it is an infection! I have an appt. and will be gone a few hours mid morning/early afternoon, so I won't catch her Nadir.

Nice AMPS!
She could just have an upset tummy, it happens sometimes. Hope nothing else is wrong.

Nice PS, Maggie-girl!

We all get upset tummies sometimes. I swear - I wish I knew how they can eat the same foods every day and one day it won't agree with them... Makes you wonder... But it usually resolves itself pretty quickly - and the probiotics in the fortiflora should help out. I think even after Kasha's off her ABs, I'll keep giving the probiotics daily for GP... I take them myself daily as well... Good for the immune system...

Do U take your kitty's probiotics? Or a human version? :-D I'm more wide awake this morning, I think. You probably meant human probiotics.

Thanks everyone; I think, too, probably just upset tummy. There was one small upchuck yesterday on the carpet.

Great AMPS today--Hope there is No More liquipoo!! Maybe the Salmon was too much for the tummy(I also spoil the heck out of Moonie)--

Oh, Ann...

Actually - sometimes we do take the same probiotics - human ones. That fortiflora just doesn't do it for me! Tastes bad mixed with OJ!

:-D I thought so! I'm so gullible, lol! Maggie is snoring now, so she must be feeling good!

I need to leave shortly, so wonder if I should leave a little hc mixed in with the regular Sophisticat. I'm using the Alpha Trak, but still within okay range.

This is a food spike. I was gone four hours and was worried she would be low, so I added a gravy topping (very small) and left a few Purina DM kibbles, very few. Still not bad for the carbs she ate! I saw the cutest Siamese mix kitten at PetsMart....

I think I've even been giving less than .25 unit, as before I left I just glanced at the syringe markings. My eyes are so bad at times with the dry eye problem.
 
Okay, now she's getting back to a normal range. I can see what just a little carbs can do to her bg. She sure has been doing nothing but laying around all day. She's eating and no more liquipoo, so that's all good.
 
Hi Ann, It sounds like it was a good day to observe what effect the various combinations of food have on Maggie. Good job managing! Stu is looking forward to seeing Maggie at the party this evening. He's glad she likes his cooking and hopes the food will agree with her (those South African spices he put in the food last night were a lot different than the seasonings he usually uses).
