After an exciting day of greens in the AM and yellows in the PM Tuxie has gone back to his usual higher range. Whether this is a bounce from yesterdays's lower numbers or whether yesterday was just a fluke will remain to be seen.

Tuxie has been doing much better than I thought after yesterday's run of green numbers. I was expecting a HUGE bounce, but (anti-jinx) so far he is doing not bad and even hitting the blues this cycle. :)

Things seem to be looking better for Tuxie, no? (anti jinx)
:)Your patience is paying off, Mary Ann.:)

Thanks Lori...I am still holding my breath and waiting for the other shoe to drop. Tuxie is going into PM with a yellow and I was SO expecting high reds or worse today (anti-jinx...anti-jinx). I have to get out all my good-luck charms right now! :)

At +4.5 and Tuxie is at 97. I was not expecting this at all today. After yesterday I would have expected a big bounce. I have NO idea what Tuxie is up to!!

I gave Tbsp reg food and a few drops of syrup to make sure he doesn't go much lower

Seems like tonight is the night for diving! Say hi to Frankie in the greens, who is also trying to claw his way back up to more acceptable levels!

WOW..Frankie really took a dive 2.9!!!!! Definitely a reduction

Tuxie came up on his +5.5 to 5.2mmol/l (94 US) after syrup given twice over 1/2 hour. I am trying to keep him from getting close to a reduction, since he had one yesterday. The other time Tuxie had back to back reductions he failed miserably.

Last time Frankie had back to back reductions he also failed miserably. That was going to 3 units, which is what I am going onto tomorrow!! I think in both our cases that was because of the depot still doing it's job

Back to back reductions seem to confuse the system too much. Much better to stay in good numbers for awhile before letting them take a reduction.

It would be interesting to see a fructosamine test for your cat. He's spending a good amount of time in good numbers, and still some amount of time not so good. I'd be curious as to how it would pan out if he were tested. Great numbers the past couple days hope he keeps surfing.

According to my AT2 memory function the numbers are:
7 day average 14.1 mmol/L ( approx 255 US)
14 day average 14.0 mmol/L ( approx 250 US)
30 day average 14.7 mmol/L ( approx 265 US)

Other than the last 4 or 5 hours in the evening cycle I have lots of data so those numbers should be a fairly good idea of Tuxie's overall averages. I know this is not the same number system the fructosamine test uses, but overall it gives a pretty good idea.

I forgot that glucometers do that, mine does too. I've been thinking for a while that it would be nice to average each column in the spreadsheet so there was an average curve, but my skills with google SS are lacking. Max is flat now, but it would have been nice to have this when he was swinging all over the place.
