Am I doing something wrong? My cat seems all over the place. He was all yellows yesterday and then last night just kept going up and up and then almost 400 this morning. I haven't really studied too many other spreadsheets so idk if this is normal.
And I keep reading places that 2 units is way too high to start and that's what his starting dose from the vet was. But he was so sick and so skinny and lethargic. He's gained alllll his weight back and looks so much healthier. He eats about 2.5 to three cans of Friskies per day, his biggest serving first thing in the morning and then small servings throughout the day. I feed him about four different flavors....can some ingredients (chicken vs beef, liver, ect) affect BS? I've been kinda trying to keep track of that.
Any advise or questions is welcome. I appreciate all of you.

Looks like you're starting to see some blue numbers and spent most of yesterday in the flat 200s. That's an improvement...
Diabetes is frustrating for sure but patience is key :)

The only thing I can think of with the food is perhaps just slightly different carb contents but I think you are just still in the process of finding the right dose.

You do more than enough testing to show that his current dose is not too high. A cat needs however much insulin they need, and what a cat needs is really all over the place. By the way "my cat is all over the place" is probably the most common phrase new members say.;)

When you start to see blues with a dose (yeah ), you hold the hold the dose at least 8 cycles. He's definitely starting to show progress. Of course, his body isn't used to blues so he's bouncing. Totally expected.
