So I’m sure we could do a dose increase tomorrow or Friday but our vet suggested we stay at his current dose for a little while longer til he gets in the swing of the new antibiotic - isolating and controlling one variable at a time. Since he’s being so awesome working with us on all this, I want to honor that and check in w him next week. If he calls sooner than that w the results of the IAA/acro tests I’ll discuss it with him then.
on a side note, Snuggie doesn’t seem to love the taste of the new med and can pick up on it in his food. I have to give it to him in either glam n punk which is lower carb than his usual foods, but higher phosphorus - so I need to see if Baytril can be given with his phos binder. The other thing that masks med flavor well is a/d, but that’s higher in carbs than his regular food so may be a trade off w BG reactions.
Sheesh - who knew THIS is how I’d utilize all my chemistry classes from college - LOL!!
