@Jill & Alex (GA), @Wendy&Neko, and @julie & punkin (ga) I do trust you all more than you think and thank you for all your suggestions last night.
Even with the reduced dosing last night Sammy pretty much held his own in the 200 range for most of the night, but I think that had a lot to do with the fluids. I wasn't until AMPS this morning that he wasn't able to hang in there. So far today he did come down a bit by +3, but by +5 he is already higher than he was this morning.
I did go ahead and increase to .5 unit this morning, mostly because when I did the .25 unit last night I didn't think it was going to be enough, but I really wanted to drain the depot a bit and I wanted to see how he would do on that small of a dose.
Now he is having one of those bad appetite days. I gave him a famotidine, but he vomited a few minutes afterwards.
At this rate I am expecting him to be over 300 by PMPS tonight, and that just isn't good. And as much as I would I would like to increase more slowly to make sure that we don't over step the optimal dose, I am thinking that it might be best to go back to the 1.10 unite (1.28mm) dose we were doing yesterday morning.
I know all of you will recommend going back up again, so I don't really even need to ask, but I am going to anyway. I would also like to know if you also think that the surf last night was mostly due in part to the fluids or if think there is something more to the numbers last night. Usually when he has fluids his numbers come down, but they don't usually stay down for more than 6 hours or so.
