hi LL Family,
Took Rocket in to see the vet this morning...sorry for the late post....and some of you may or may not know that Rocket had runny poo for the first time ever in his life.....so we started the metronidazole and probiotic...because with his many conditions it is had to decipher if another infection is starting....
so he only got 3 doses of the Metro and since he does have seizures and is on phenobarbital...i noticed the mild tremors....i told the vet and she felt since he has had a firm poo yesterday it was best to take him off the ab and see how it goes for the next few days but to continue with the probiotic
it becomes so incredibly challenging all the things going on with him at once....so though i didn't like stopping the ab, i didn't want him to start seizing up and would be worse if i wasn't home....
for now this is the update....hopefully he will bounce back....
Comet goes to his vet tomorrow....back in March we took him to see the cardiologist and we were told that down the road he would get heart problems but i was hoping it would be down down down the road....but as of the last couple of weeks i have noticed a certain cough....the cardio vet said it would be distinct and it is...though not often it is concerning....i will be asking the vet if we can start him on a low dose of whatever med for that (i must be honest i haven't researched it and with my already lack of sleep and Rocket's care i haven't had time but will try tomorrow to do my reading).....so that's where we are at....also he will get bloodwork and see if all is well for his dental (he is long long long overdue for it....i know he needs it but as always the poor dog has been put in the back burner and it's time we do something about it)
so that's the latest in this household....
please keep my two boys in your thoughts and prayers....i'm extremely tired as always....don't know one day to the next and half the time i don't even remember how i get home....so i continue to plug along and try to recoup some sleep on the weekends...doesn't happen always....
though i don't post often be certain that i keep you all in my thoughts and prayers....
