yesterday's post

Thanks for all the healing vines and well wishes for my little guy. Radar is a little better today than he was yesterday at this time, but he is still not eating normally. :( He displays the classic nausea symptoms showing interest in food but backing away. I will try to get SEB into him a few times today and hope that it helps him eat better. I'm thinking I may have to get out the Ondansetron.

Poor little guy :( He just doesn't feel very good. He will eat a bit of the babyfood and he was willing to eat just a little of his Rad Cat raw. Although he is strictly an indoor only cat, I think he "knows" it's super hot outside - 109 on my porch today  and that is possibly affecting his appetite. The really high temps over 109 will continue here for another week or so I'm sad to say. I plan to keep our ac going and will do everything I can to get him to eat.

Hi Jan, Just a suggestion.... with Rico when he was iffy on eating I started giving ondansetron a few rimes a day just to break the cycle and now he gets it am and pm-it stinks to have nausea.... I get it oo and run to his stash:smuggrin:

This is a really good suggestion. Thanks. I will keep it in my "tool kit" as I never know when I'll need a new tool. The good news tonight is that Radar ate a normal dinner with no coaxing required. :woot: His numbers have also thankfully come down a bit from those icky 300s. I am hoping for continued eating and prettier colors on our ss. :joyful:
