Yesterday
Morning everyone and Happy Father's Day! Shadow has 4 Ps already today. He ate his breffis pretty well this morning. I am al bit nervous about the added fat on the dose.....it brought the numbers into beautiful blues. But hey, we are not aiming for remission here and I don't want him to sink too low. I will have to wtch him closely now though....if turns away from any of his meals it will be tricky. I might just go back to the .75u .....not sure.
Anyway, thanks for your input yeaterday Dyana and Marje and Ella. I replied in yesterday's condo. There are so many meds out there and we are fortunate to not have too much experience with many of them. My two have been 16 years without too much of a need for drugs so I don't have a lot of knowledge about what is good for what. I use the Pepcid because my vet said with the Ptitis, he should have that. He does throw up foamy bile when his stomach is empty and usually he will turn away from food when that happens. He seems better when i have given him the Pepcid...
He has been given a shot of Cerenia when the nauseousness is a problem.....
I usually add hot water to their food but during the past week I have heated the food in the micro for a change. They seem to like it that way since they are chomping on the food rather than licking it....DH pointed out that Shadow likes his food piled up and he bites into it. So, I might have been making it too watery. I dunno....maybe I should be fired! Yeah, that's the ticket! I should be fired and then I could collect unemployment and hang out on the beach....right??? LOL
Thanks to you all for your thoughts.
This morning we had a successful breffis. Ready for the next adventure within the hour!!
Sendig hugs to you all! :YMHUG: :YMHUG: :YMHUG:

J.D. likes his food piled up so he can bite it, too.

I think having some Ondansetron on hand to give when Shadow needs it (like the weekend or at night) would be easier than having to take him to the vet for a shot when he's nauseous. Sorry to keep bugging you.
