Nice blues last night and maybe a little bounce again today? I was hoping to get another test between +4 and +6, but my comfortable couch had other plans. Maybe she saw green? Maybe not. Oh well! Thanks for stopping in April, Tricia, and Carla. @Tricia & Cinco I still get thrown off every time I type your name, it feels like I'm talking to myself in the third person!

Her eating has been a little off, so I gave her some cerenia and cypro this morning to help jumpstart that. One day is usually enough. Another discussion for the vet Friday will be about reducing her calories. She's definitely at her pre-Dx/DKA/FHL weight, so the extra calories may not be needed anymore (she's getting ~300/day and is ~10lbs), but I want her opinion since the unregulated diabetes can affect caloric needs. I'm with everyone that the dental will most definitely help her numbers and make her more comfortable! She absolutely needs it sooner rather than later. I also need to have her old vet sent me the records of what sedation meds were used for her last cleanings a few years ago. Nerves setting in already!

@manxcat419 I would think the white patches do affect how prone they are.. the interesting thing is it looks like Noodle's are spreading... She went from a few at the base of her tail a month ago to much more now. My gut tells me that it has something to do with the trauma of how ill she was at Dx and with shedding and fur growth it's becoming more obvious now, but I'm curious for the vets opinion nonetheless.

Vines to all in need, have a great day!!

At least a bounce day means you don't have to worry about leaving her while you're at work. I agree, it does look like a bounce, but she'll come back down again - her bounces seem to have been clearing faster (anti-jinx).

I just grabbed Regan and turned her upside down to get a proper look at her original white patches...she's not quite sure what's going on now! ;) I think they have got a little bigger than they were but her biggest increase is just stray white hairs showing up here and there. But then she's the one here who hasn't had any major health issues so I do think you might be right and the faster spread could be because Noodle was ill when she was diagnosed - it will definitely be interesting to find out whether your vet agrees.

Thanks for stopping by, Elise, Carla, April, and Marilyn!

Despite the fact that we have a few things to discuss with the vet (and this bean is getting dental nerves), we're doing pretty well here. Just plugging along, you know? I'm not extraordinarily worried about anything we've got happening. She seems happy, if not a little annoyed with the heat, maybe a lion cut is in order soon? She does look adorable when she gets one.... :p

She'll come through the dental just fine - Rosa had her first ever dental last year including an extraction and, although she was a bit out of it for the rest of the day you wouldn't have known she'd had anything done by the following morning! :)

Oh, and we need pics of the lion cut when you get it done! I'd never dare even try that with either of my 2 - there's no way they'd stand for anyone going near them with clippers!!

Definitely need to see a picture if you get the lion cut!! That's one way to get rid of the white patches.

I know what you mean about typing your name - it throws me when I call you by name, too!! I don't tell people my name is Patricia, because most automatically call me Pat. I'm not a Pat. Never have been. I've always been Tricia or Trish. Do you have that problem, too, or are you okay with being called Pat?

Sending some appy vines for Noodle. Eat up, Kitty Kat!!!

Sending some bounce be gone vines.

Try not to think too much about the dental or you will drive yourself bananas!

Regards to Nananoodle
