I feel your frustration and am right there with you. :YMSIGH: Keep hanging in there though, these cats have a way of surprising us.

Well, a quick look at Tuffy's SS gave me some hope....this just seems like a never ending nightmare for us, doesn't it?
Come down as soon as you can Mocha...this is such a low pink...looks like a yellow to me almost....get serious girl! :-|

Oh Devon! Who knows!!!! Gotta keep hoping and aiming for it, right?!?! I think there have been MANY cats around here who have gone otj long after they started insulin. Wouldnt Deb and Spot be a good example? And look at how well that Moonie is doing!!! I think yesterday could have been a good sign if it was the first green day since SEPTEMBER!!!!

At +4 she had only dropped 50 points, so I thought, well I'll give her ears a rest today ... and went about my day. At +7 she met me in the kitchen so I fed her without testing her.

Then all of a sudden mocha races through the house and starts chasing her tail in a circle and trying to jump up the wall! The windows are open today and it's extremely breezy in the house. I thought she was just enjoying the nice weather but I thought I better test her .. just in case.... and got a 73! Of course, this is about 5 to 10 minutes after eating so I'm sure theres a little food spike going on there .. Since it's already +7 I'm not feeding MC unless she starts going crazy low for some reason. I imagine with this large drop in three hours she will bounce at her pmps tonight.

It is was me... I would ride it out with LC. Keep and eye on her, but that late in the cycle (and sometimes even earlier in the cycle), LC is good for a surfboard.

Good thing you tested - if she bounces later, you would have had no idea she'd dropped so low...

I wish there were some way to hook them up to some wireless monitor that transmits info to my computer so I can really know what's going on when I'm not there to test!!!

Brought out the MC food with HC gravy on top of it .. she ate it all up .. it's so frustrating when she doesn't drop doesn't drop doesn't drop .. then it's drop drop drop and you can't slow it or stop it ...

My kid decided to hang at the amuzement park today instead of surfing with Mocha what's up with that? :lol: And of course her favorite ride is the "Free Fall" :lol: :lol: oh and we
can't forget the "Bungee Jump" :-D

have to admit, I'm shocked by this pmps. I thought for sure she would be high by now considering she had HC and MC late in her cycle today. Guess that goes to show yet again she is in charge.

I wouldn't worry yet about regulation. Look at Tuffy! 26 months and OTJ. I'm coming to the conclusion that the old arbitrary thing about 1 year being some sort of cutoff is baloney. We've had a rash of 2 year kitties going OTJ lately, and even more are regulated and just not posting much anymore because their spreadsheets are "boring." Mocha is just taking her time about it, but she'll get there.

Have you thought about trying Lev, when you run out of Lantus?
