6/16 Hep AMPS 299 Introducing Hep

Good Morning!
Hep is my new sugarboy. His caretaker was unable to care for him anymore. Yesterday was somewhat of a rough start but he is doing better today and I was able to test/shoot. He was hiding and growling at me and I was unable to test/shoot him last night. Didn't want to push it. Let him come to me and he is much better. Headbutting me and not hiding anymore. He was on 2 units, but I am starting him over at 1U. Was recently diagnosed with hyper T. Is taking Felimazole 2.5 mg BID. Have a great Sunday!

WELCOME Hep!. It's great that Hep is warming up to things after only one day. Very nice! I am sorry that your friend was unable to care for her kitty anymore, but am grateful for folks like you that will take in a kitty in need.

Like Michelle, I'm sad that your neighbor could no longer care for Hep. However, I think he's going to realize very soon just how lucky of a kitty he is. He couldn't ask for a better second mom. I'm happy to hear that he's beginning to settle in.

It really sounds like Hep loves you already. Did you have contact with him when he lived with the previous owner? Just curious....

I'm glad to see you changed his dose to 1 u. and I bet you would have never known to do that (in fact, all things diabetes) had Sara not blessed your life.

Well, I have no advice to give you :lol: as you probably have more experience than me!

Kathleen I did know Hep from before because I was helping this lady take care of him because he was diabetic. My aviator picture is of my GA kitty Sweet Sara. I was going to put a pic of Hep on here but it was to big and didn't have time to fit it. Thanks so much again everybody. It means so much!
