First time with this girl shooting low to stay low so will be watching her like a hawk. After looking at her data it seems 1u is too much yet .75 isn't enough so now I'm down to fine tuning the dose, went with .9 last night and again this am...Let's see how the day plays out.

Hiya Lil,

Yep work schedule is coming along beautifully because I quit after the 3rd day...lol. After they decided to call me and tell me I was working on my day off at 4:30 in the morning after wanting me to close the night before...uhhhh I think NOT!

So right now I'm getting stuff together and checking on the going rates around town for boarding etc, to start my own pet sitting business, since obviously I can care for special needs animals. Which so far it looks like the only choice in town if you have a pet that needs meds, or fluids is boarding at one of the vet's and paying through the nose. Figured with it being summer now is the purrfect time to start looking for cliental. Figure since I can do special needs I could also offer a service at a weekly rate as well for working folks also. That way I can pretty much set my own hours be where I need to be for my own babies as well as work around DH's erratic hours since right now we only have one vehicle. And the best part yet, be my own boss and somewhere down the road training a few good people to take over so that I am the one signing the paychecks instead of collecting one. :-D

Could she get any flatter yellow...lol But then again she needs to rebuild her shed, and I have no idea how low she went last night to get to that 74 for her amps. This is the one thing I hate about depot insulins...the wearing of the patience pants to let a dose settle before you know what step to take next.

I think starting your own pet sitting business is a fantastic idea! I wish you still lived in CO. We haven't been anywhere for two years.

Just checking in on Autumn. What a pretty green preshot. :mrgreen: I haven't seen pictures of her in a while....has her fur grown in?

Well her fur is longer than when I first had her shaved, but then again she was shaved all the way down to her skin. So even the few centimeters that she has back is a major improvement...lol.

However, her weight is greatly improved, but then it should be she is still eating a 1/2 a can of Friskies four times a day. :lol: But then again she also still needs to eat that much because since she has been here I have gotten a really good look of her paws...She probably should be even bigger than the 12lbs than the vet thinks is her ideal weight...I'm thinking she should top out closer to 14-15lbs. She is every bit as tall and long as Maxwell, and I think her paws are exactly bigger! :o

Yeah she is going to be stunning once her fur and weight are completely back to normal, but if I can't get her to cool her jets with the other cats and mellow out some I don't know if she will be staying...Funny thing is she is awesome with us, and adores the drooler, but she is downright mean to the rest of the Fur Gang. Lucky for her they are all as mellow as they are because they are all fully armed and she isn't so one of these days if someone gets enough of her sh*t she is going to get her clock cleaned. As most women know Pretty only gets you so far...got to have the personality to back it up. :lol: :lol:

Love the pet-sitting idea!!!! And wouldn't know anyone that can do that better!!! Autumns looking so pretty --- hopefully she does mellow out with the rest of the gang soon - for everyone's sanity I'm gonna assume lol. I'm sure she will....it's all still relatively new :)

I know this is OT but I had to respond to your work/job comments.

First off at Disney, if they tried to put that "double back" on you - meaning less than 8 hours between a shoft, they have to pay you double time. That is a checkbook no-no. :lol:
Not long ago, they gave me just over 8 hours in=between shifts. I want to say it was 8 hr 15 minutes, and the 2nd shift was 5am.

Regarding your idea of a pet sitting service - I'll bet that is brilliant, as my British friends like to say. There is probably a need for that where you live.
I have decided to get a pet sitter when I go home for the holidays later this year. I will be gone for a week & 1/2 and I am afraid to kennel Dallas (my stray cat rescue). He is fearful of strangers (well everyone but me). My other choice would be to board them at the vet, but i figured keeping them home would be better and cheaper. Well it's not going to be cheaper ($18 per day per cat vs. $45 per day for 2 visits) but my pet sitter is one of my vet techs. The cats know her and I trust her to come into my home. I would certainly get you if you lived here in Orlando!
