Between Zell and my DH last night, I barely got to sleep!!! '
Zell wanted attention but he didn't know how to get himself to the right place to enjoy it. He was laying with me in bed, fidgeting every few minutes, scratching me and nipping me (on the face/neck/chest). The scratching isn't like kneading, its is slow and deliberate and more like trying to get your attention (however, at the time, he had my undivided attention). He was also so worked up he was slobbering a bit. He couldn't settle down and just enjoy being snuggled even though he wanted to. It got to where I had to push him off the bed because he was hurting me (and it was becoming too much between the clawing/biting/nonstop fidgeting). He would just jump right back up and keep doing whatever he was doing like nothing happened.  This went on for at least an hour before he FINALLY settled down and curled up by my legs.
Then my DH, he was tossing and turning and fidgeting (and it was warm in our room) so he would lay ON me (never does this) and then move 5 min later because he made himself too warm. He also "talks" in his sleep (will hold a really random conversation with me in his sleep and not remember doing it). He also does this thing (weekly) where he will (TRY to) make me get up because he thinks there are bugs/snakes/random things in the bed, he will check the bed (meanwhile cussing or general babble), we will go back to sleep, and he won't remember doing it. I handle this by (while disguising my laughter the best I can  ) firmly telling him no! that he's sleeping/dreaming right now, there isn't anything, and to lay down and go back to sleep (it starts with him sitting up abruptly or propping himself abruptly). He usually babbles about something, laughs, and lays back down (if i'm not extremely firm about it, he won't settle down until I get out of bed so he can check it).
This morning, Willy came in and was stomping around and licking my face to get me up. Ugh! When he wouldn't stop, I got worried he might be hypo or low so I rushed up to check on him and ofc he was totally fine. What a brat!!!
Unfortunately I didn't get to take my road test yesterday. I am so bummed because I was totally ready (emotionally). On the way to the MVD, the power steering went out--- again! So the car just went back into the shop this afternoon. They seemed genuinely surprised that it wasn't fixed so they fit us in quickly. Hopefully it's something silly and an easy fix and I can try again tomorrow or Friday.
