There's not much to report in Trixie's corner today. Her appy is adequate....not horrible, but not the wonderful gluttony we had a few days ago, either. I guess that's just par for the course these days. Since she does OK with the syringe feeding, I don't get quite as stressed about it as I used to, but it does still bum me out...she used to love eating so much. I'll just keep praying she reverts back to her old ways some day...
She did further prove that at least part of this is psychological again...she keeps sending me little clues. Anyway, as you all probably recall, before the pancreatitis, she LOVED FortiFlora, but since the p-titis, she won't touch it and turns her head if I hold the pack under her nose. Yesterday was a little interesting. There were two bowls of kibbles on the floor...one was sprinkled with FortiFlora, and the other wasn't. She walked up to the bowl with FortaFlora, sniffed it, and walked over to the other bowl without FortiFlora. She ate a few kibbles from the non-FortiFlora bowl, but had no interest in the sprinkled kibbles. Interesting....and sad and frustrating that she's afraid to eat things that she used to so thoroughly enjoy.
Not that I'm advocating letting an FD kitty it kibbles under most circumstances, but as we know with Trix, her appy issues are trumping the "no-kibble" rule. Any time I've let her have accesss to a bowl of kibbles, she limits herself to just a few...which is also interesting.
I'm at work today and have the store to myself. I don't expect it to be busy because it's a beautiful day...foot traffic is usually pretty low when the weather is really nice. But, I'm the tech person and there is lots of website work to do....so I'd better get to it.
Sending extra vines out to J.D. this morning. Have a great day, LL!
