I think I like the name Tiki so much from a book I read to my kids....
tiki tiki tembo .... no sa rembo... chari bari ruchi ... pip perri pimbo....
it's a book about a little boy in China and that whole spiel is his name and you have to say it over and over....

(I know that book well ~ I teach littles, and they LOVE that book ~ the boys name gets into your head, though, kind of like a catchy song ~ the kind you can't get out of your head no matter how much you try. Thanks, Rhiannon. :roll: :lol: :lol: :lol: )

I know that book too. But can't recall why. When you wrote the name I just said it my head right along with you. It's amazing the things you can recall from childhood but can't remember your cat's BG# in the time it takes to turn to the spreadsheet after seeing it on the meter. ohmygod_smile I must have had the book as a child too. I would have guessed it was from the Jungle Book not knowing any better.
Tiki actually got his name from Tiki Barber, the former Giant's (ahem, HOT
) football player. I know, not so romantic, right??? Originally, Tiki was to be my ex husband's cat. When we first got together I had Sophie (cat) and he had Sasha (dog). Sasha always loved me too but Sophie basically wanted no part of John. She was MY cat and only wanted ME. So when we got Tiki the plan was that he would be HIS cat. NOT!!! From the moment he came into the house he crawled into MY lap and never left and once again, he was MY cat and only wanted ME. :lol: :lol: :lol:
I gave Tiki a theme song that I sing to him when I'm fixing his dinner - it's just his nick name "Tiki Toes" said over and over and sung to the tune of the theme to SWAT with a few "Toaster Toes" thrown in to make it interesting. :roll:

Aw, thanks Doreen. I see PeePee is another one back from the falls. :cry: Tiki just came back too, and apparently doesn't want to go back until he fits into a new bathing suit. Sigh....
