Mom Update:

Welpers, I wasn't able to get a hold of her all day, when I finally did, she said the NG tube was out. Which is very confusing because that does not follow at all what the nurse said last night. She also said the doctor had not been in to see her. I find it hard to believe they would have taken the tube out without seeing the doctor, but she may not have remembered him coming in. Talking to her, it did not sound like she had the tube in. She was very happy as she had some visitors, which always helps. While on the phone with her though, apparently all the lights in the hospital went off, they are doing a ton of construction, building a new ER, so that could be it. Sure hope no one was at any critical part of surgery when it happened! My sister is taking my great-niece down to see her Nana tonight, so hopefully she will get the scoop from the nurses. Fingers crossed this recovery goes smoothly.

Molly Update:

My coworkers were amazing while I was out. They got an icky case out the door for me so I didn't have to worry about it. I spent today playing a bit of catch up and trying to get reorganized. Hopefully will finish that up tomorrow and be back on track. Tonight, I have to get the last parts of the thank you cards for my sister's shower ready. I plan on bringing them to the hospital tomorrow night after t/f/s and have mom help me. It will keep her occupied and then she will feel like she is part of the shower process still. She seemed excited about it when I brought it up last night, so hopefully she still is. I looked at the calendar and my work trip is only like two weeks away! Holy crap! I have a lot to try and get done before then and now, so hopefully by breaking it up into different nights, I will get it done. This weekend will be filled with getting everything else ready, so hopefully I can get it all done!

Skooter Update:

Skooter seems to be coping well with my increased stress. I try not to how it around him, but he is one smart kitty :P I am digging his PMPS and hope he can keep up the wonderful greens. This week will be difficult for midday tests with work and mom, but I will do my best. He was scampering around a bit again, which is a great sign! Currently he is vegged out on my bed :P I am hoping he will come down stairs with me when it is time to get the card stuff ready. I am hoping to finish that stuff by like 9 or 9:30, and then have some chill time before going RIGHT to bed. I am hoping I still have some watchful eyes on us and someone will chime in when they think Skooter is ready for a trial, if he ever gets ready. Again the only obstacle I have is my work trip. At this point, (and I know a lot can change), I am planning on my sister and brother in law not giving insulin as I know the 0.10 can be difficult to get and he still can go a bit low on the 0.10. I am open to any and all suggestions and hopefully Skooter will make the decisions easy on me....hear that Skoots? Be nice to momma!!!

Thank you for the update, Molly. Sounds like Mom is making good progress. :) Many, many vines for DM, Skooter and you. Remember to breathe.

I'm glad your mom is doing okay. It sounds like things are going well. Skooter is looking good. Sending prayers. :bighug:

Vines for continuing recovery for your mom, Molly. Sounds like she's doing well.

Skoots, how 'bout making things even easier for the bean. If you know what I mean.

Sorry I seemed to have missed your earlier posts over the weekend. Just wanted to add my vines for your DM's continued recovery, sounds like you have had a manic few days.

More vines for your DM, and a few for you. Skooter, you have your instructions. See to it that you follow them, please. :D

Still plenty of time yet to make decisions about insulin while you are gone. Will your DS and DBIL be willing/able to at least test once a day so you'll know how Skooter did?
