Hi Everyone, and Good Morning,
Well, I don't think Rusty read his condo, so he got the dosecrease--up to 1 unit from a fat 0.75. I guess it's possible that I gave a fur shot(s) yesterday, but I didn't smell insulin. I don't think he has an ear infection (the 3 tiny scabs he scratches are not in the ear, but outside, below the ear where it joins his face; I will have the vet look at them next Wednesday). It could also be delayed stress from the car trip (I see a similar pattern on his SS after trips; but this trip was so short it doesn't seem right that it cold cause stress). In any event, I think that a dosecrease is in order because his nadirs have been creeping upward lately. So we'll see what happens.

Rusty had a good night and woke us up early. He was eager for his test, shot and for his breakfast (2 sittings). In a little while, after it warms up a bit (45 degrees this morning), we'll go outside. It is a beautiful, sunny day and expected to go up to the upper 70s. Edward and I will do a short paddle this afternoon on a local pond and its outlet.

The cellar continues to dry out, but I don't think the water table is lower than the cellar floor yet. But it is definitely getting better.

Sending positive thoughts and prayers for Tessie Lou's biopsy today and healing vines to all sick kitties.

Hi all you kitties. Don't forget the Full Red Moon and Eclipse party tonight at Gracie's, in the desert. The theme is red, but don't wear red!!

Re: 6/15 Rusty AMPS 219(!!)

Good luck with the dosecrease! Hopefully it will be just what you need. What beautiful weather you are having, finally. The temps sound heavenly. Have fun on your paddle!

Rusty - I am ready to go. I have some red on this morning, but I am hoping my blue shirt is clean by the party. Can't wait. Better rest up so we can paratay!!!

Re: 6/15 Rusty AMPS 219(!!)

WOW on that amps! Sure not a Rusty number. Well, I hope the dosecrease will give Rusty a jump start and get him back to Rusty numbers. Good luck!

Enjoy your paddle this afternoon - a sunny day, 70, a paddle - sounds perfect to me. :-D

YAY on the cellar!

Rusty - We are all set!! I've got everything all ready, bus is packed, so much fuds!!, lots of room to get all the kitties. WOOT! I am soooooooooooooo excited. Off to the desert! ~~ Mannie

Ugh! Come down Rusty, you don't want to be way up there for the party! I hope it was a fur shot, this is so unlike sweet Rusty!

Re: 6/15 Rusty AMPS 219(!!), +5.5 174

so maybe you are the one to interpret this...

Last night i dreamed that binks and i were checking out little manx kittens...

and they were all black, grey, or calico...except Number Sixteen...which was Rusty, sans tail.
not "looks like Rusty without a tail"...it was the spittin' image of your boy..(just really tiny)
that was the last one we looked at.

Thoughts???

Golly, Celi, I don't know how to interpret that dream! Maybe Roni can have a go at it.

Hi again, everyone,
Rusty has been slowly coming down all day. This evening at PMPS I may have given a partial fur shot, however. Just what we need right now! Anyway, he had a really good day. He and Shadow had another encounter. This morning Shadow came over and sat on our back stoop with us and Rusty. They watched each other. Then Shadow went off and Rusty followed. Shadow ran up to Rusty and tried to smell his rear end (this produced a small hiss and a chase). The next thing I knew Shadow and Rusty were nose-to-nose with no hisses. Then Shadow ran off to chase some bugs, caught one and ran off to his house. Rusty came inside. Neither of them seemed hostile to the other. Shadow, being a kitten, just wants to have a playmate, I think. He frisks about and always looks happy. Rusty is more circumspect. Shadow was here again this evening, but Rusty is inside.

Edward and I had a lovely paddle in our old (21 years) tandem canoe on Jones Pond and its outlet into Osgood Pond. This is a beautiful wetland with lots of bog plants and trees. We carried over a huge beaver dam and had to get out and walk occasionally because the water level was low(!). Sunshine all day.

Off now to visit condos. Rusty left for the Full Red Moon party with all his grilling tools and was going to pick up Moonie, Checkers and Ted.

Ohhhhhh, I just love these Rusty and Shadow stories. I see it in my head, and it's so darn cute. :-D

Ella, Checkers get those tiny pin prick size scabs, in the exact same place in front of the ear. They go away as quickly as they appear. I always assumed he was scratching, but his ears have been clean when examined by the vet.

I'm glad the celler is finally getting somewhat dried. I'm afraid to mention that we need that wet stuff again.
I need to be careful what I wish for, since I can't mow right now.

I think I am going to send Pinkerton over there to play with Shadow. Pinky wants a playmate, too

Russ! Thanks for coming to get me! Don't let that guy sniff your parts. It's not good.
I hope the veil lifts tonight and we can see Bear Man and Stu welcoming Tessie Lou.
See ya later, Bud.

Hi Ella!

Hope the dosecrease does wonders for Rusty in the # department. Nice to hear he is making friends.

Sounds like you and Edward had a nice paddle. To bad the water in your cellar wasn't as low as some of the water that you encountered today. I'm glad that it's getting better though.

Have a nice night.

Rusty I know I'm a little late but I'm on my way. Can't wait to partay!

Re: 6/15 Rusty AMPS 219(!!), +5.5 174, +9 149, PMPS 159

Hi Guys,
We are still reeling from the news about Tessie Lou. My heart goes out to Sandy and her family. So sudden, and no real time to say farewell (with Stu it was unexpected, too, but we did have time with him and could sense that he was already in that other place).

Linda, I hope that the veil will be thin tonight so that all the kitties can see that Tessie Lou is safely at the bridge and being greeted by Bear Man, Stu, and all of the other GA kitties that everyone here holds dear in their hearts.
I'm sorry that Pinky doesn't have a playmate. Shadow would certainly want to be his friend, too.

Jan, so nice to hear from you. How is Sara doing? I've been looking for your condo, but I guess you are very busy at present.

Barb, thanks for the tip about the tiny scabs. I hope that once we get Rusty's nails trimmed he won't be able to scratch them open so easily. Checkers is looking good.

Back later, I need to get another box of tissues.

Ella: Glad to see Rusty's PMPS is down and if you did give a fur shot, there's always tomorrow. How interesting that he and Shadow get along and there is no dominance issue going on!!! Awesome..Rusty has a little outside playmate.

Glad you got your paddle in...I'm surprised there is any place that doesn't have enough water! Finally the basement is improving!

Have a nice night....it's tough when we are all so saddened by the loss of Tessie Lou.

Rusty....I'm glad you are coming tonight....we must honor our GAs and make sure the candles are lit so Tessie Lou can find her way through the veil to be with them.
