I have no idea how Neko did today after +3.5, I took off for the island and did Father's Day a day early. But I did vote for DCIN at the ferry line-up wireless! DH was in charge today, I suspect the solarium was the place the kitties hung out. Gotta watch what I type, Neko's in a chair right behind me, looking at the screen. :lol: I got home just before T/F/S time - both cats were glad to see me. Neko wasn't so happy about me killing time with a comb on her when I should have been getting food ready.

OT: Great day on the island. Strawberries are starting to get ripe in the garden, and I also snacked on salmonberries and huckleberries. I spend time weeding the berries, including the raspberries - there's going to be a ton of those this year. I also got take home packages of fresh snow and snap peas and enough garlic scapes that garlic scape pesto will shortly be on the menu.

I've come to say, Thank you so much for your help last night!!!
Lucy didn't quite bounce but she surfed at the safe numbers, so I was able to go get more strips today!

I'm glad you had a wonderful day today.
The weather was great too.
Hmmmm berries.... I'm looking forward to visiting farmers market in the summer.

@Mariko - I'm glad Lucy let you do things today, even if it was getting supplies for her. :lol: My parents live on Bowen Island so it's a nice day trip. My mother has a market garden so I'm able to trade labour for fresh produce.

@Rhiannon - Checkout Michelle ( and Mannie) condo for pics of wild salmonberries. Young Nick loves them. I somewhat prefer huckleberries. They are the red ones. But you are right about Neko, let there be no distractions before food. :lol:
