6/15 Merlin PMPS 319, 193@+1, 70@+2, 50 @+2.5, 61 @+3, 90 @+4, 106@+5

We will feed him 10 g of 5.9. It wont bump him up, but it might help slow things slightly in the next hour we hope. Testing in 20 min.

Looks like another yesterday morning… But it’s not a bounce because last night was more normal. Or his bounces only last one cycle?

Bounces can last from 1 to 6 cycles. I think you will find that he is bouncing today from the green last night. His body is not used to the lower numbers yet so any time he drops into lower numbers he will bounce. The more times you can get him into lower numbers the more used to them he will get.
Some cats settle down quickly and some cats bounce all the way to remission.

Do you think, Bron, that we should let him drop into green more quickly by feeding him differently? Though, with that isn’t there the danger of bouncing from getting there too fast? What can we do differently? Lower carb? Just wait? We are keeping things the same for now, but getting different reactions. It’s so puzzling.

If you let him free fall you will have bouncing from the drop too fast and not being used to low numbers.
I would keep doing what you are doing. He is still very new to this journey and he is doing well. He is not going to have identical cycles while he is unregulated..Many cats don’t see green BGs for months.
The biggest thing I had to learn with treating feline diabetes was patience. You can’t rush it no matter how much you want to.
Here are some patience pants for you….I went through many pairs!;)

Aw, thanks. Can I have them in purple and several sizes larger, please?:)

Been half an hour since the last test, can we have another? Also, please update the spreadsheet and subject with that 50. It'll draw more eyes.

Ate 5 g of 5.9. He’s pretty full. Biggest main meal he has eaten since insulin began. I hope we dont have to feed again!
