Yesterday was a great day for all here. Nicholas arrived as he normally would, so mom could get things done with William, and dad could get some much needed errands done: like groceries. Imagine that: they want to eat.  I wrote this yesterday, about Nicholas's and my day: "Nicholas and I did go swimming today - a fun filled day in the pool. He was a little on the tired side, so we only did 2 hours instead of the normal 2.5. LOL: even that is alot. It seems that Nicholas has been staying up later than normal at night, which always shows in the time of day he crashes the next day. I hear his room is next to William's and when William cries due to a diaper issue, or it's feeding time, Nicholas can hear him, comes running out of his room, wanting to help mom and dad care for William.   GO NICHOLAS! often this is at 10/11 at night. oh wow on that.... he so loves his little bro. Anyways... we had a great time, despite the fatigue factor. Nothing was left unturned in the pool - he did all that he could think of to do. :-D   We went to the trail by the pool after he had lunch, devoured lunch is more like it, and went on another salmonberry hunt. There are still a ton of them there! By now I would have thought he would have eaten them all. NOPE! Needless to say once he was in his car seat to head on home, he was out: ZZZZZZZZzzzz in the back seat. I loved it when he said to me as were getting ready to go: "major good fun, Grammie!". Yupp little man, that it was." Here's the Picassa link to yesterday's photos, though in all honesty they are very similar to Wednesday's: just no dad. ;-) Swimming and Berry Hunting!

Kitties here continue to do well. Elsa is being Elsa, and now completely home with Lola and Bug. She sleeps with Lola at night on the bed, eats her breffis and dinner next to Bug, shares toys with them. is content with the way things are. YAY!, and I am relived to see it. Lola is still one crazy cat: I came home yesterday to find her on the bookcase ledge, back feet on the bookcase, front feet on the window sill. What is amusing about it all is the the blinds were down, and she had her body in between the slats. SHESSHHH! MY BLINDS!!!!  :?  :o     She didn't seem to get why I was having a fit.....   Bug is doing well too, and is tolerating the ear meds. I hope they are working and clearing he blockage. Sure don't want to have to put him under to take care of that. We should know that at his next appt on Tuesday morning. And so goes life for the Three Musketeers.

Have a great day everyone. It will be catch up day here - errands, shopping, laundry and whatever else I can squeeze in.... I hope to take a walk/hike to the shore sometime during the day. YaHOO!

And kitties! THINK BLUE!! THINK GREEN!!

Good Morning Michelle and the 3 Muskateers,

The grass is certainly not growing under your feet! Yesterday sounded grand. Nicholas is a wonderful big brother and I'm sure he'll discover soon that he needs his sleep as much as William needs his.

Elsa, thanks for the delicious espresso this morning. It will keep us going all day. Bug and Lola: better get busy on those Daddy's Day pizzas. I'm sure there will be a big demand for steak pizza with tuna/nip crust--a purrfect combination.

Enjoy your chores and your walk, Michelle. Good weather there?

Hugs and scritches,

Ella & Rusty

Morning Michelle, oh boy with Nicholas the Energizer Fish with slowing down to two hours versus the 2.5! I think I could only last 30 minutes swimming. How sweet that he gets up whenever he hears little William crying to help his Mom. Makes for a nice nap after his activities. That is such a great camera to capture the underwater pics of Nicholas. Great pics of both swimming and salmonberry hunting.
Elsa Lil Bit, thanks you for my favorite Triple Espressos from Pike's Place, ~O) ~O) very special as it's mannie's favorite. Also the 10 Hour coffee. Elsa and Lola, pizza with steak for Father's Day sounds great, and I know they will all love it.
Have a great day, Michelle, with catch up stuff and enjoy the shore walk.

Morning Michelle ~O) ~O) ~O)
I laughed out loud when I read your heading. It takes three adults, a baby brother and 2 hours of swimming!!! So sweet that he wants to help with his bro. Sending big restful hugs to you all. I hope your day is mega fun!

Bug and Lola, if you need someone to try out your pizza for the dad beans, we'd love to sample it. Xoxo Ollie's beans
Many hugs and scritches to you all

I think so too on Nicholas: sleep will win out in the long run. :-D THX on today. It is partial clouds/partial sun. overcast right now, but we hope for blue skies. Weather folks say we will later today - so a walk for sure!

Morning Ann ~O) ~O) ~O) I know on that 2.0 vs 2.5 hours! it is true - it is very tiring, but he just keeps on truckin'! ;-) , followed of course by the much needed nap. I think so too on his responding to William - he really wants to help all the time. Loves his little bro. THX too on the pics. I solike the camera - workls really well on the underwater stuff. THX on today - it will feel god to get some things caught up.
Auntie Ann! SWEET! Mannie alwyas like the Pike Place Market one the best. It's really good! I so hope on Lola and Bug's pizza. they tries so hard.... You want to try one? ~~ Elsa, Lil BIT, kitteh barista

Really! I didn't think it was possible to wear out a two year old.  Did he nap the rest of the day? I thought you often did another hike later in the day. Thanks, Elsa, for the espresso ~O) this morning. Really needed it.
John

That's so sweet how Nicholas wants to help out with William. That's great to hear Elsa is getting along with Lola and Bug now.

Hi John! :-D Well yes, what two year old sleeps, it is impossible to wear them down.... unless you throw them into a pool for two + hours.  His little legs are moving all the time, faster than a speeding bullet, and it cracks me up. Add in all that water resistance and he is POOPED! along with ZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. He usual takes a two hour nap after the pool. Yes, we used to hike or head someplace outdoors after the pool time, until that time went from only an hour to over two. it kinda messed the schedule up, so often we can't go anywhere after he crashes. I have found a very nice trail right next to the pool, with a creek that we have been spending an hour at after he swims and eats his lunch. It has, for now, taken the place of our other adventure/hike. Once he's done with needing these naps I will probably reintroduce the afternoon travel stuff. :-D
Uncle John! You is so welcomes! I can bring some anytime your wants... it looks like Tess has been keeping you busy. You needs a pick me up? ~~ Elsa, Lil BIT, kitteh barista

Hi Linda - yupp, this one would be that way too: doesn't believe he needs naps, and more often than not he doesn't sleep... unless he's been in the pool. That is a for sure!

Hi Carla - I thinks o too: he wants so bad to help out. My DD says he keeps bringing the baby toys to play with, blankets to keep him warm, all kinds of things. I thinks it's great! THX on Elsa, I am so happy that she is!

Hi Michelle, thanks for visiting us today, and offering words of encouragement, plus sharing all of the experiences that you had with Mannie. It is so helpful and much appreciated.

That is so cute that Nicholas gets up to help with William, what a great big brother he is. :-D

So great that the kitties are all getting along so well. I had to laugh about the blinds, sorry  Zeus was hiding behind the blinds one day and could just see fur sticking out. It was very cute. I hope the meds help to clear the blockage in Bug's ear... Poor kitty.

Hope you are having a good evening,
Kathie

Hi Kathie - you are more than welcome! I hoped it helped some... ECID and all that, but sometimes just knowing someone's approach helps immensely..... --THX on Nicholas. He will be such a great big bro. We all hope in a year he will still feel the same way. ;-) I think he will. He has a very kind and gentle spirit, I think it is nature to want to help. THX on the kitties. Well, after I gad my "Fit" wiht Lola and the blinds I had to sit there and laugh... it was darn funny. She is oe crazy kitty! She's always into something! THX too on Bug's ear - I hope so too! Paws crossed.

What - you didn't have your camera with you when Lola was hanging through the blinds?  Would have made a funny picture, in hindsight.

BTW - huckleberries are ripening now.  I had a bunch of them with salmonberries today. Yummy!

That's all you would have seen of Lola - her hindsight.  I'm glad Nicholas is such a good brother. He has potential as an FD bean. :-D
Liz

Hi Wendy - YUPP! Blew a photo op with that one! Wish I had though... I kept thinking "please don't break the wood slats, please don't break the wood slats".... I will have to start carrying my camera with me. She did it again tonight, and of curse: no camera!  -- Excellent on the huckleberries! I will have to watch for ours... should be any day now. :-D

Hi Liz -   That was true: her hindsight! omg, and true. I think so too! I so remember him wanting to help me with Mannie. He knew the drill, and what to do when. That is really a great memory.

Love the pictures of "the fish"! Goodness, he sure is adorable! And yay that The 3 Musketeers are getting along so well. Sending clear ear vines for Bug! Happy Caturday, Michelle!

Hi Deborah :-D Many thanks on all. THx on the FISH photos too, he does so love the pool. Yupp, kitters are doing great. I so hope on Bug's ear. The meds are gong well, and I sure hope that they are working. :-D
